When Steve Irwin was asked what his favourite TV show was as a child, he said "Thunderbirds, but there will always be a place in my heart for Stingray".

doglessJust stick on your favourite Absolute radio decade - mine is the 90's, every song takes me back - I can near as damn it remember a time/event/incident linked with virtually every song they play. Back then life was brilliant, everything bright, new and clear, world at my feet. Music was superb. Time was my own, none of us had ties or responsibilities (bar for work and college) I miss those days like mad; that said I wouldn't trade these days (even with all this sadness and hardship) to have them back again, a moment in time to be savoured but not relived 👍

You're a poet @gazza ... good to remember old times ... but we are where we are Rog You'll have me blushing! This absolutely sums up that period for me - you could choose any song you like from that era as an anthem, a moment in time etc, but somehow this remains as powerful now (possibly more so in light of recent events) as it did all those years ago.

Only to your age group. To me the nineties were a dirge of rubbish music and I feel sorry for those who had to put up with it. Maybe the first rebellion free music scene with piles of soulless machine produced crap and everyone using the same sampled beat. Slightly better than the 80's but not much. In other words it's an age thang.

So, why not instead of being negative about @gazza 's choice , put forward your own suggestions ... memories is kind of the point.
