I do agree Tapatalk is a bit clunky for ordinary reading and interaction, I just use it to post pics.

Imgbb is easy no registration required just upload then select the "bbcode full linked" option tap the copy bar and paste it here. No worries. It's even got an autodelete option which is quite handy. ETA check what happens when you paste the IMG code into here as it seemed to add a couple of links to other websites which I deleted.

Having read all socks posts on this subject..I deduce she's either very brave or crazy... Iβm amazed she can actually breathe unaided without finding something difficult about it or categorically insisting itβs someone elseβs fault for her not being able to breathe correctly! π

Having read all socks posts on this subject..I deduce she's either very brave or crazy... Iβm amazed she can actually breathe unaided without finding something difficult about it or categorically insisting itβs someone elseβs fault for her not being able to breathe correctly! π Ah breathing...Im practising that one..ok I know i can but I'm doing deep breathing so my lungs know what to do should I get the bug..... The way I look at it is..when I suffered panic /anxiety etc they advise abdominal breathing in for 7 out for 11..calms u down...when I'm stressed I automatically start that sort of breathing Now I reckon with this lung thingy(corona) we need to be ensuring our lungs inflate properly...thus I'm re educating self on all breathing techniques... so yeah I reckon socks can get in a muddle over this one... It makes sense to me......

Well, saved by the sun ....... Lots of it, perfect painting weather, and tackling the roof before new solar makes sense. I am not confident about the solar, was hoping I would just be able to remove the old wiring, replace with the new stuff, I mean most people do their own, I think. It seems to be crammed in to a tiny corner, not sure why, I don't mind seeing cables in an engine room. I could lay out the cabling and mount the controller, at least I should have the correct cable if an electrician reappears

Foxy's Solar Energy Tips!
No 1. - get a magnifying glass and on a sunny day train it on your filled kettle of water. after some hours you will have a kettle full of boiling water and will be able to make yourself a nice cup of tea.

Solar is pretty straightforward electrically, you just need the panel(s), 2 wires to the controller, 2 wires to the battery (fused near the battery). The devil can be in the detail - getting the wires from outside to inside in a neat and robust way, terminating the wires with the right connectors / terminals. But overall, not hard.

Yep, my cunning plan is to make sure batteriesarefully charged, then 1.... replace the cables and connectors in the existing system from panels to controller, thus being assured that I can have it working, and the new cables installed. t 2.....The next day disconnect the three old panels and connect one new panel, this should still work? 3...... With batteries fully charged again, check isolator which is a 15amp fuse still isolates. 4 ....... Have a look below the controller, Make notes, take photos.

Be aware that with some controllers, disconnecting the batteries whilst the panels are producing power, can blow up the controller. So donβt disconnect the batteries unless the panels are covered, or itβs night time - at least not until youβve checked the controller Aβs manual to see if it can cope or not.

Yes thanks Nick, will be very cautious, there is no manual, it looks like a mass produced Chinese job.

A towel is always your friend when dealing with solar!π I just turn off the DC rated mcb to the panels, Midnite told me to install one so I did.
