Noticed my water pumps have both been leaking, for some time by the looks of it, it seems they are both leaking through the case, kind of where you open the pump part up, cracked one open and no sign of a seal so I may just seal up with silicone and see if it lasts before shelling out for new pumps.
The one thing it has shown is that the location of the pumps was not the best choice, under the kitchen, in a corner which means I have to pull the fridge out to check, being lazy I haven't done it for a while, hence not spotting the leak.
Will now move them under the dinette where I can easily see them, plus I think I will include a tray under them to catch any water leaks going forward, to save space it would be good to sit them on the wall of the space sitting upwards if you like, rather than flat on the floor, not sure if pumps need to be a certain orientation though?
I also have an air tank next to them, forgot the correct name for it, does this also need to be a certain orientation and what pressure do I need to pump into it when I put the system back together?
Every time I go on the boat it costs me money..

You could put a water leak alarm/detector next to any potential problem. They are very cheap.

Another approach is to mount the pumps above the top of the water tank. That way when they start leaking they will draw air in rather than leaking water out.
Might not be practical but worth considering.

Every time I go on the boat it costs me money.. Usual arrangement is that the diaphragm provides the seal between the case bits, both on the pumping chamber and the pressure switch. Your air tank is an accumulator. Ideal pressure is just below pump cut in (note "cut in", not "cut out") pressure. In practice, it's not that critical and about 15p.s.i. usually works.
