Have you sorted your shopping phil70 ... or just resigned yourself to doing your own ? Rog Ah shopping, well yes we have but it involved many hours of hanging on the phone listening to inane musk but eventually we got the supermarkets to acknowledge the letters Chris had stating her extreme vulnerability which she had from both the NHS and the Government. The upshot was we now have priority delivery slots and free food parcel!! We had a delivery from Tesco on wednesday and our cupboards and white goods are crammed....happy days but the following day there was a ring on the doorbell and when I opened the door there was a chuffing great box containing food for a week courtesy of local government. So we now have an embarrassment of food. Food bank gets lucky while I find out how to cancel food box, it was a lovely touch but one which I don't need. Phil

Great news. These are unprecedented times ... not surprising that good intentions sometimes get caught up in poor administration and organisation ... but there is enormous support out there. Glad you no longer have to 'run the gauntlet' Rog

Great news. These are unprecedented times ... not surprising that good intentions sometimes get caught up in poor administration and organisation ... but there is enormous support out there. Glad you no longer have to 'run the gauntlet' Rog Actually it caught us by surprise because there was nowhere on the online forms to request a food parcel and judging by others on the local FB pages there are many in the same position and they are doing as we are and gifting to food banks or to needy neighbours because if you decline the food you forfeit your rights to priority slots. So food banks are the very deserving winners. Phil
