And why has this word 'novel' turned up all of a sudden? We have the 'novel' virus, the UK Government wants a 'novel organisation' dedicated to keeping people indoors and dictating 'The Law' to them... because novel means new. it's a newly evolved virus.
1984 is a novel and it’s still evolving....

Should they be forced to sign that? Yes. At gunpoint. Definitely. ............. and tattoo everyone who has the vaccine on the forehead.
if you ain't got a tattoo you ain't getting into 'orsepiddle.
we should have learned by now that all this new-fangled government by consent is exactly why we have problems managing our response to the virus.
about time they put the country on a wartime footing - if you are a conchy then you are sent to work in the fields in social isolation.

Well what's wrong with using the word 'new' ?

1984 is a novel and it’s still evolving.... No - it is an instruction manual for Boris Johnson's government. "A police officer has taken to the streets with a megaphone and a rap to remind the community to stay safe during the coronavirus outbreak. The Derbyshire officer was filmed spitting bars while patrolling Normanton Road, Derby, on Saturday night." 'Yo, this is Derbyshire Police!': 'Cringe-worthy' moment officer raps out a reminder to follow lockdown rules - before stunt backfires and is ridiculed as 'embarrassing' "Yo, this is Derby police, don't be afraid, we come in peace. The Government said it so listen up quick, take our advice and you may not get sick. Don't walk around in two or more or we'll come knocking at your door. Only go to the shop for essential things like milk, bread, fruit and cheese strings. Go stretch your legs but only one time, do as we say or you might get fined. Please help us to fight this disease, lots of love from your fave PCs." "So when they catch you doing 90 on a deserted M1 through Derbyshire at 11.30 pm, "Ya been speedin; ma heart is bleedin', step on da brake, more time ya gotta take, if ya don't do dat I give ya da tick-ett, or someone'll soon be kick da buck-ett". Nope, thought not. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8192907/Officer-uses-megaphone-RAP-reminder-stay-home-coronavirus-lockdown.html

There seems to be increasing evidence that the lock down may soon be causing more deaths than the virus. Whilst I agree with strong leadership it shouldn’t be a free pass to ignore the evidence/data and the voice of population. If you want to live in a country where a gun is pointed at your head, they are options.

The daily news is fantastic enough (in its truest sense) for me to attempt to comprehend ... I most certainly don't have the energy, enthusiasm, or interest in the plethora of current conspiracy theories and opinions on where we are and what's next . Further three weeks (minimum) of increased hygeine and distance keeping and we'll see what happens then. The war lasted six years ... and they were bombing us ... can't be as tough on our 'mental health' as that surely Rog

I think it can be worse than war in some ways. At least with war you know what's happening and can get on and sort it out in whatever way you want to. Ok there are helpless victims but people who can help are enabled to help.
Everyone is different. Some people would prefer to make ammo boxes and field telephones others would prefer to go and kill the enemy with guns.
In this situation you get a vast number of people with different behaviours asked to all do the same thing. For some people this will be very damaging, others less so but the point is that there is no enemy. It's a medical problem not people throwing bombs around.
It's no wonder it causes conspiracy theories to arise.

That's odd as I can unclick my vote and move it to the other option.
It's a normal function of the software to allow this.
Using my phone (as always) I just tapped on the "no" tick box it cleared it then tapped on the "yes" box it added one. Reversed it again no problems.

There's a vaccine ? Yeay ! Rog Not yet, but according to our government voice (BBC) we won't see a complete end to the lock down until there is. Meanwhile other countries are starting to wind down the lock down. I suspect we will wind down but I cannot see how those with other medical conditions and the elderly can go back to true freedom unless they accept that getting it is a death sentence...

Didn't remember you had to untick first.

no choice - get out of your home and find shelter - now! - or else!!

Just for Foxy.
Yet people are still coming into UK airports from abroad unchecked for Covid-19 and the Police are doing nothing about that. "Some 15,000 people are flying into the UK without coronavirus tests every day" "Ministers have refused to close down airports altogether since the crisis began despite advising Britons against non-essential travel." A.Bodger (of this parish) will have it that none of these people arriving at UK airports are contagious and will not infect others on their way to 'self-quarantine' as they are all responsible citizens. How does he know? I think he should be tied to a post at Heathrow in the baggage hall for a day. OK, make that a week. And have them cough on him as they walk past just to make sure his theory is correct. "Even worse we're towing illegal refugees in from the channel and not screening those either." - care of Border Force Taxi Service
