I'm sure I'm not the only one in need of a service we can't get at the moment - I'll start you off with my most pressing problem
I'm in a grouch today - it's going to last a LONG time I suspect.
Reason?
Well, t'other day, i broke a bit off a molar on my left upper (my favorite side for chewing)...
It didn't hurt a lot (I'm a rufty tufty Yorshire puff after all) so I phoned my dentist for 'advice' - basically, chew on the other side, jam toothpaste in it and come and visit when we are allowed to do something to it.
LAST night - on sucking a wine gum, something "stuck" and both the remaining part of aforementioned molar disintegrated AND the one next to it!!!! ergo, it now BLOODY hurts, I've got a whopping two tooth whole and 50 percent of my munching capacity is gone.
Luckily i do have a couple of bottles of oramorph on the boat for when by back gets really bad, which will help (along with the occasional zopiclone) to get me off to sleep but having chatted with a dentist friend last night on whats app, the suggestion is to get is as cleaned out with a cotton bud dipped in corsdil and the fashion a home-made filing with some body filler.
I have to admit, that did cross my mind but WHAT if I end up pressing the stuff too hard against the hurting nervy thing and once it's set, it's applying constant pressure?
Hmmffff!
There are OTHER things broken, needing external help but none quite so pressing.

I've got very similar, had a dental crown come off, phoned the dentist and was just told there was nothing they could do at the mo. I bet it's happening to lots of people.

I was due a visit to the dentist to replace a lost filling in January ... but the dentist postponed until March ... and then ...
Thankfully no real pain, just slight discomfort and eating 'on t'other side'.
It could be a while ...

I'm going to have to google "blender meals" just in case something goes wrong on the other side - I mean, when I used 1 gas bottle up, I get another one in STRAIGHT away... I don't wait for the 2nd bottle to run out too.

You can buy temporary repair kits for missing fillings etc ...... I know Superdrug sell them and I suspect you can get them on line easily enough

You have bottles of oramorph? I thought that was strictly a hospital thing - they always ram me full of it to keep me quiet. What's wrong with paracetamol?

What - no emergency dental treatment in the UK? What is that all about? What are dentists doing then? Pirkko went to the dentist 3 weeks ago, filling became loose and new filling installed - dentist was wearing 'protective gear' which is understandable as you are peering into someone's cake hole. Dentists working as usual here - if you have C-19 symptoms then you go to another dentist. But if dentists are 'closed' in the UK because of the coronavirus, why are people still allowed to go and buy 'essential' garden gnomes from The Range? "Britons continue to flout the criteria for essential shopping - as shoppers were today seen snapping up plants, drones, mirrors and pillows." www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8232453/Britons-flock-shops-non-essential-shopping.html

"Dentists warn emergency patients have nowhere to go after high street practices were shut prematurely Dentists have criticised the NHS for forcing them to stop treating patients Patients now cannot see their local dentist face-to-face due to the risk of transmission of coronavirus, even if they have painful problems with their teeth. The British Dental Association (BDA) said that emergency centres for patients have not been sent up yet, so for the time being emergencies have to be treated by phone calls and webcam. This means dentists cannot treat sick patients and can simply advise on home care and prescribe painkillers." Yet no-one seems concerned about transmission at The Range... www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/03/28/dentists-warn-emergency-patients-have-nowhere-go-high-street/

Lord Haw Haw ... not this thread. It's about dentists and dentistry. I find it absurd that people are allowed to mingle freely in shops, yet dentists are banned from treating people needing emergency repairs to their gnashers. Is this for real?

I have a good gp back at home - who, knowing the long term state of my spine, is happy to give me a few bottles of the stuff each year for when it's bad enough to "stop me moving" at a time when I HAVE to keep moving... ergo, being miles from home at the time, it makes sense to have said stuff. I've also got Oxy Codone but that makes me feel pukey - even IF a bit high. IT does seem mad that the gov stopped dentists from working when I can go sneeeze all over the people in B & M... if Anything you'd think the dentists would be ok as they have PPE anyway... I'm going to have to pursue it tomorrow though and try and borrow a car to get there - I'm in Skipton since lock down... at least my own might take a pragmatic approach rather than black and white -.... I have after all, being paying a monthly fee for the last 20 years for the privilege of being able to have work done...

Ive got temporary fillings in the cupboard as Ive got a really dodgy achy tooth...do the toothpaste trick(useless) Also got other stuff to paint on...I can sort of live with it but I'm careful ..I'm just waiting for a 'Quaysider' moment... Son offered to pull it out and fit a crown...I'm not quite that desperate! Bet there will be hell of a waiting list when they finally open

I've had bits fall off teeth regularly over the years. My dentist told me I had 'Asian molars'. So rather than being fairly flat the corners are raised, making them more likely to break off. Over the years I've had half a dozen fillings to repair these. I don't bother now. If a bit falls off it might be slightly painful (hot and cold drinks) for a while but it settles down. Sensodyne toothpaste helps.

Epoxy resin is nearly safe for dental fixes, you have to ingest a lot before it causes you harm. Superglue is a no-no, cyanide!
