10 years ago this was a very nearly perfectly manicured new lawn, now, following an exceptionally wet winter, an old dog and what looks like a recent bombing run are doing it no favours! Saturday Lucy and I will be playing with UV cure resin and funky Mica pigments to finish off yet another job on the What new ways can I find to avoid Mrs Gazza in the family home list!

A piece of art in progress.... I do hope we see the finished masterpiece Just remember ..it has to get worse before it gets better(ground rules before starting on any project) Too true Patty! My neighbour had an 8 yard skip delivered on Saturday - he's removed a layer of top soil outside his house, he offered the use of the skip so long as he got his muck in first and there was space! It galvanised me in to action - first hurdle was what to use for the path? Nothing on had to get started as luck would have it a chance conversation with my neighbour revealed he had lifted several 2' x 2' flags and no longer wanted them, I jumped at the chance and soon chopped these up into 1' x 1' tiles and set em in the ground. Once the path was finished Lucy mentioned she'd like a hopscotch course - again, slabs were going to be the issue, Wickes is a nightmare to get stuff from at the moment - all the local building suppliers are either shut or doing essential products to the trade only. Faced with the likelihood there will be a long wait for paving stones i had a bit of a think and came up with the resin idea, The UV stuff is easy to work with as there is no mixing catalyst and worrying about pot life, all we need do is mix up each of the colours in separate bucket, poor into another bucket with a number set out with pebbles then cure it off with a UV lamp. I'll be sure to report back...!
