Here you go... I was young and sexy ..... once upon time... ironically, at the time, I had no idea it would soon fade away lol. Edited to add- THAT level of low body fat (11 % from memory) took an AWFUL lot of maintenance... and once I'd found "gin" the decline was inevitable :-( Grinder profile pic? I don’t think Grindr was around in 1990?

What is this "Grindr" Froggy seems to know ALL about?
In fact, that photo was circa 14 years ago - Back in that era, it was just gaydar... "what you want - when you want it" was the tag line if i recall...
In total transparacy, I still have a gaydar photo "frozen" back in time in my early 20s... same user name as here but TERRIBLE hair!!!!

The Corona discussions were interesting as things developed but now we're all on hold in a protracted "wait and see" situation? There's bugger all else in the news to set people thinking on common ground, no sport, no people trafficking, no pollution, no trains or traffic to moan about... Thumb twiddling time. I don't exactly wish the days away, but I'm finding it harder to work up enthusiasm for the limited stuff I can do. Life's getting a bit repetitive at the moment though in desperation I've been doing a few things I'd been putting off because they are dull things that require starting and keeping going but no thinking. Yawn. I'll be pleased when things liven up a bit TBH. There you go, more pondering action for you on the Corona thread.

I’ve been too busy to be on here much. eg yesterday 10am on Zoom helping out as a coach in a aviation radio licence course, hour and a half, then coffee, then some work on a new instrument panel housing I’m making for a club glider. Then lunch and “Doctors”, the current TV highlight! For the panel I first (over a few days) had to take a mould of the old coaming in polyester resin /glass, then lay up the new one using “proper” aviation grade epoxy resin and woven glass cloth (2 layers) then add the 3mm hard foam sheet cut to shape, fill the gaps with resin +microballoons, add the second layers of glass+resin, cure for 24 hrs at room temperature then 12 hrs at 50C, clean up edges, paint with matt black aerosol. Then cut the aluminium sheet to size, cut out 4 x 80mm holes and one 57mm hole, plus the screw holes (4 per instrument), holes for a switch and fuse.
New 57mm electronic artificial horizon instrument for this panel arrived by courier, played with that and set up the units, coloured airspeed warning zones.
Then went for a walk with Jeff along the beach. Then took a trip to B&Q to get some lawn stuff (lots of moss on the lawn, needs sorting) but the queue looked daunting so gave up.
Then onto the computer looking at how to improve the PCB layout for my battery monitor project (trying to squeeze the size down to fit a cheap enclosure I’ve identified). Then dinner (no booze, we are cutting down).
Crap Tv so back on computer tidying up the C code source files for my Battery monitor project. Blimey, some of my early C code practices were atrocious! (Im on a steep learning curve). Finished that around 11:30 so to bed with 15 mins listening to my latest audio book, before sleep.
This morning, got up at 8am to hit B&Q, 25 mins wait in the queue but at least it was sunny and I’ve now got some stuff for the lawn.
So my main worry is that I won’t get all the things I need to do finished, before lockdown ends!

Your photo kind of reminds me of me, albeit with a bigger six pack, Tesco boxers and non giner hair. I used to use a site called love@lycos back in 2001, was loads of fun, the whole online dating was so new, I say dating, more like hooking up, happy days!

(coronavirus thread) Im allowed out of my home with a reasonable excuse. Having a sparkly green lawn is obviously a reasonable excuse. And I did wear a face mask, unlike Queen Nicola! Anyway, I bought other stuff too, some chainsaw oil and two stroke oil for the chainsaw Jeff’s dad gave me. That is essential for repelling burglars and food scavengers once society completely collapses next week.

maybe we are all just gradually drifting into a state of ennui That gets my vote personally speaking. Cross posted with you saying much the same but I'm so bored I turned it into two paragraphs. One reason for less TB for me is I sit here like I am now and I'm thinking I should turn the flippin computer off and do something useful. I get as far as turning it off and then whether I do anything else or just read a book I think my soul is better for it. What I do is go for a walk, check on here then write for about 3 hours, then check on here then either write or watch bit telly(not lot of that as not really a fan) or listen to music. The knitting has been retrieved from its hiding place under the bread but I'm no where near desperate enough for that Ukulele out but not doing much of that either..its not fun on your own. I really enjoyed the classes on the ship, partly because we messed around(bit like the naughty kids at school)..daughter in law thinks she's gonna set up Zoom for me to play with that grand daughter(she's learning violin) and the other one(keyboard)...they'll only do it the once I come on here for a bit of social and to check we r all Corona free

Might be my imagination but I think the advertising has been cranked up on here recently.
Advertising is not something I like so am reducing my use of the forum in order to avoid it.
For all it's faults that was one thing which canalworld was quite impressive for. Lack of advertising.
TB used to have much less as well but it seems to be creeping in quite aggressively now.

Use a lap top ... just banner ad at top of page so I'm not the only one with adverts for Gimp masks appearing then?

I get loads and loads of shit adverts including "do you want to buy shares?" I never do this sort of thing and "do you need help with depression" I never seek help for this sort of thing. I've tried clearing the cache on the phone maybe that will help. ETA some of the ads show up even when logged out so it could be to do with the phone itself but why would they think I am into gambling? I've never even so much as bet a penny on a horse ! Me no like. Happy to enjoy a forum but if it ends up being an advertising vehicle I will withdraw because I fundamentally hate advertising and always have.
