Occasionally someone mentions politics and everyone insults each other.
That is not and never has been political discussion.
If you care to look the 'exchange of insults' tend to be restricted to the odd thread as the majority don't give a damn.
There does seem to be a bit of 'towing the party line' here but I'd like to think most of us say what WE think.
Maybe it's better to be apolitical and open to different views. In fact I'd go as far to say that party politics has had it's day and it would be better if our MP's represented the views of the public rather than party policies they rarely stick to .
But you obviously wandered in here last year, and decided to stay.
Everyone is free to speak here, which is why it is infinitely better than CWDF and why I defend this forum, and occasionally become irritated when some ex CWDF members turn up and use their newly found freedom just to be disruptive.
Sadly some merely like to be antagonistic and provocative, knowing others will bite ... and these rolls can be reversed on occasion.
But I am sure you'll agree this is NOT political discussion.
There are many more threads which avoid such nonsense, and I'm sure you'll be unsurprised to learn, they're my fav's.
Why are you continuously disrupting this thread which was intended to enlighten anyone interested to the very real threat of WOKE to our freedom? If you don't like political threads just don't read them but if you must why post 4 times to disrupt it?
I had a pop at Jim because he doesn't discuss anything. I do my best not to be party political but have my equally negative views of all parties. I would love the labour party to concentrate on money not on WOKE. WOKE is crippling the USA as we speak, it's become deeply ingrained in the Universities where you can and will be sacked for not supporting equal outcomes politics. It got a foothold via a law that was merely intended to ensure equal financing of mens and womens sport at universities, now it's taken over and nobody dares to stand up to it - if they do they are sacked. Watch the video, this is not alarmist nonsense, WOKE is going to make an un-woke opinion a criminal offence and if we follow the USA, which we DO, "hate speech" intent will not have to be proved. All that will be needed is for someone to feel frightened by someone expressing an opposing view. Is this what we want?
Because lollygagger this is a forum ... not your diary.
I made a comment which nemesis responded to, and we have each replied politely to each other thereafter
It's not that I don't agree with the sentiment but when I once started a thread to see who thought argument and discussion were the same or different things, apart from me everyone thought they were one and the same thing.
So yes we get a lot of repeated argument on here by those that cannot accept that discussion is something very different, no matter what the dictionary definition says, but it's NOT everyone.
I don't recognise any party political clique on here, certainly not a Tory one. I must be missing something. I don't think we have more than a few actual Tories on here, just a lot of people very frustrated that there is nobody for them to vote FOR and are reduced to voting AGAINST a party that's failed to represent them.
Did you know police must investigate "non crime hate incidents", that is to say perhaps not understanding when a joke is a joke, and they are added to the Hate crime figures? They are instructed to contact the offender and "check their thinking". All that's required to set this ball rolling is wilful misunderstanding and to have bought into being a victim. WOKE has sneaked it's way into all politics and is partly responsible for the careful repetitive nature of politicians interviews. Both these chaps are gay...if that makes any difference. It's a philosophical discussion as are the other vids. There is no political edge other than WTF is going on and pulling WOKE to pieces for it's contradictive, destructive and dangerous nature. Is that political?
I really don't care what political party people vote for, everyone has their own personal choice. What I do get fed up with(& yes I know I can ignore posts/posters) is when people blame a particular party for all that's wrong in the world. You get the feeling that if their legs dropped off or their other half was 'servicing' the milkman-it would be the fault of their hated political party.
I watched this earlier and recommend it whatever your party political persuasion. Joe Rogan does some great long interviews. Watch the first 10 minutes at least. I'd urge Jim to watch too and see how normal people rationalise things and discuss them.
I've now watched about the first hour but I don't have good internet connection here so have to do it in stages when I have connection. It's been good and very interesting and I will watch the rest as and when I can.
thanks for posting it (to be honest never heard of him or his guest before)
