Scones straight from the oven need nothing at all ... heaven. I like jam ... cream if there is some but it's not a deal breaker. NEVER, EVER SQUIRTY CREAM ! Jane favours savoury scones ... cheese especially ... but likes the cheese baked in as well as on top. Did I mention never squirty cream ? Rog It has to be clotted cream

Delivery to us becomes an issue which I'm sure we could overcome ... but I like books, I don't buy online, so I'll be happy when charity shops reopen. Rog There is bound to be an Amazon collection box near you or failing that a lot of local stores are delivery points too. The box point gives you 3 days to collect and of you don't its returned for a full refund.

I am missing my Hotel Chocolat choccies as not prepared for Paul to pay the extortionate postage( he usually buys me their chocs every few weeks).I've bought some Aldi plain choc with raspberries(Lidl do similar)& it's not bad- better then Cadbury's...but these days Cadbury's is yukky ! I've abandoned Hotel Chocolate for 'Kennedys'..far superior..they are pricey, but I reckon I deserve it. ATM just a brother and sister working to keep it going, they are both getting on a bit so I'm not sure how long they will last.. You can pick your own box of flavours which I do. I sent the Brum lot some as they r working in Covid ITU ...

I have tried ... but I like books. If this carries on I may have to resort to downloading ebooks again ... but I really don't want to. I do like book lists ... The Times frequently publishes such things which I find gets me to be more adventurous in my selection. Rog Woman just up the road put all hers out for people to help themselves..I cannot do that where I live so the books I don't want wait charity shop opening..I don't read very much now, don't seem to have the time

I have tried ... but I like books. If this carries on I may have to resort to downloading ebooks again ... but I really don't want to. I do like book lists ... The Times frequently publishes such things which I find gets me to be more adventurous in my selection. Have you tried Audible? Which are a source of "talking books". I discovered it recently and it is fab, especially for long drives etc (and you can do that now in Englandshire). Admittedly it does depend on the narrator, but some of them are superb.
I suppose it is reminiscent of being read a bedtime story by one's mummy (or nanny), very soothing and a great preparation for that last suck of the nipple before sleepy-byes. Unfortunately my mummy made me give that up when I turned 12, which ruined my life.

There’s an image I could well do without, all prior to my boiled eggs as well. Thanks Nick.

Jane particularly likes 'talking books' and we do listen rather than watch tv (currently listening to a Cadfael story by Ellis Peters). I'll have a look at 'Audible' ... after I've finished throsing up Rog

I'd forgotten Mondelez, just as crap ! 'Mondelez' is just a fancy name for their confectionaries division, it's just Kraft ('foods'). Sold out to the Americans who have turned good chocolate into a tasteless palm oil product. Cadbury's sold out to them, and the Swedish Marabou sold out to them. I forget the other companies offhand. Toblerone, Milka, Maynards-Bassetts, Freia (Norwegian). This is a perfect example of ugly 'globalisation'. they are a massive business, the 5th biggest food and beverage company in the world. Kaft foods merged with Heinz after they were both brought by the same companies. So you can add many more brands to that list
