Don't know anything about vetus loos, but macerators always get blocked.

www.tcschandlery.co.uk/mobile/sealand-masterflush-7160-electric-toilet-with-orbit-base-fresh-water-flush/p11692Fresh water flush version of our new crapper. (£30 cheaper) Not test driven it yet as it isn't anywhere near ready to be installed. I chose it due to its easy maintenance more than anything else. No idea about the vetus I'm afraid. As for blocking, problems occur using quilted posh bog paper. All you need is recycled toilet paper - asda smartprice is good, this goes for bucket and chuckits too. Never been a fan of posh shithouse paper tbh, must be a legacy of working in factories all of my working days so far

We have a Vetus macerator and it's only blocked twice, and on both occasions it was guests putting stuff down they shouldn't have, but that was my fault for forgetting the instructional chat... should add that it's our second, the first having lasted 8 years!

Was going to mention something about composting toilets...but no, better not.

Ours isn't a Vetrus, but has only blocked once in the 3+ years we've been using it (knock on wood). It was within the first month of us living on board and Dave forgot and flushed some kitchen roll down the loo. It was a quick fix that he was able to do himself, even though I had the number of a plumber close at hand just in case I agree, use cheap and cheerful loo roll and it should be fine
