I’m not entirely sure that you understand - I was talking about Flightradar24. Within FlightRadar24 you can allow or exclude various data sources, including M-Lat and FLARM. Just re-read this post this morning, I think I was too wrapped up in jealously to take it in after a few Jamesons yesterday. I was using the new Flightradar24 app on my Android phone. I can't see anywhere where you can select different data sources. Is that something you can do with the desktop version? I do have the Gold subscription BTW. I have an iPhone with FR24 app. On that, there is a settings icon (gearwheel thing) and on the settings page, 3 tabs which are Map, Visibility and Misc. On the Visibility tab you can select /deselect the various data sources including FLARM and M-Lat.

The track I got starts at 12.17 UTC 6,699 ft over a small lake to the west of Ben Macdui. It ends at 12.50 UTC 7,200 ft over lake Alvie.

Anyway, that sounds like you are looking at the M-Lat data. Only that data is viewable historically. FLARM data is only viewable live.

Anyway, to further make Bassplayer feel jealous, I had a lovely flight today - it was a fantastic thermal day with 7000’ cloudbase. And some strong thermals. Here is me doing one circle with around 9 up, and that is with me flying with one hand and holding the phone with the other. Location is a bit south-east of Ben Nevis, between the Ben and Blackwater reservoir. And a little earlier, approaching Ben Nevis. You can tell, because it’s the snowiest thing!

Garbh Coire visible as well - normally one of the last places to lose all the snow.

FLARM data is only viewable live. Why’s that then? BTW, locks are things you open with a key... Yes locks are things you open with a key, or by leaning your arse on the balance beam. Or even sometimes, by pressing a button. Lochs however, are inland bodies of water in Scotland.
Why is that then? Not sure but I think it is simply OGN's choice. They agree to supply FR24 with the live data on the understanding that it is not stored. Some kind of privacy issues I guess. Just had a look at their policy, it's here: www.glidernet.org/ogn-data-usage/ OK it allows storage for up to 24hrs but I guess FR24 decided it was easier to not store it at all.

Well next time you go up maybe give us a bit more warning so we can watch it live. I wonder whether you could stream it on video, that would make me even more jealous...
