If I get told I can't take the pee a bit because part of what I posted was an old story then I'll do the same when D Abbott is mentioned when people attack Labour! No-one has told you you βcantβ ? π Just comes across as rather pathetic that you seem to think anyone with a modicum of sense would fall for it! π I merely asked if you could post up to date reports if you're going to attempt to use them to further your political clap trap. Perhaps you need to learn to read and digest whats actually written!

But then thought I'd probably get castigated if I did for being a bit of a nerd!

I believe the Right Honourable Blacksheep is partly referring to this: Seems the Home Secretary/or Shadow is the place to put idiots! If I get told I can't take the pee a bit because part of what I posted was an old story then I'll do the same when D Abbott is mentioned when people attack Labour! It's behind you!!

You being thought of as a βnerdβ would be a massive improvement over what a good portion of TB posters opinion of you currently is! π

I reckoned this would be the case, and then saw someone else had the same observation:
"Three trips to Durham" FFS
"Cummings will right now be arranging some massive diversion story for tomorrow to take this off the front pages."
" ...and there you have it - an orchestrated "Breaking News" story about 'Boris Johnson holding a cabinet meeting on Monday to update the government on ways to slowly start the easing of lockdown restrictions for some sectors.' "

-and another good point: "Driving a 4 year old child 270 miles in a tiny enclosed space with 2 infectious parents isn't caring for the child, its child abuse."

Now now mr fox, criticising our Great Leader. Don't you know COBRA spend hours on this for our benefit, making up excuses for the failure to act or why those who make rules don't have to abide by them. In essence "If you are ill with corvid19 you and your family must self isolate and not travel". I have no trouble with ordinary mortals having a bit of wriggle room, though many do not have the choice and have to get on with it as best they can on little money, relying on food parcels and the kindness of neighbours and friends. Dom should have set an example and done the same. He has financial resources too. No excuse. 68% of those asked thought he was wrong to travel. He is a bit further along the gang plank today.

A Mail on Sunday headline...
'Boris tries to save Dominic Cummings' job by declaring 'it's not like he was visiting a lover' as maverick ally is accused of breaking lockdown rules THREE times, including second trip to parents' Durham home where he 'strolled in bluebell wood' with wife'
Let's hope him and the missus didn't tread on any bluebells, as they are a protected species. Three breaches of the 'lockdown' and one of interfering with a protected species. Hang him.

That's not the point. Hypocracy gets more damaging the higher you go. People start to lose respect for the law when leaders don't lead by example. The trouble is that we can all be hypocrites at times. I wonder how many 'social media police' have broken lock down rules? I could moan that we haven't seen our 92/99 year old mums for over 2 months. However it would be hypercritical as we knew we wouldn't see them for a while as we were supposed to be in Lancs by now.

68% of poeople asked ..... what people and what was the question ..... comments like that are totally meaningless. We so far have twitter, Mr Fox, and a quote from the Mail that I know is fake news and is based on his reply to the harrassing Mail reporter and was "I don't care what you think, I did the right thing" and that suddenly became the shock horror headline quote "Dom says "I don't care".
I would want a lot more reliable information apart from that quoted, I have seen no reports from a news source of multiple journeys only an increasing number of reported journeys on twitter.
as regards a walk in the woods was that during or after isolating ? if after then what is different from everyone else who has been taking outside excercise ?
Sorry, I don't like witch hunts ........ If there is reliable evidence that he broke the rules then he should be treated the same as everybody else.
i.e. told not to be a naughty boy and don't do it again.
If there is proof that he made repeated trips then he deserves censure and with his high profile position probably be asked to step down ...... but only if there is proof, not hearsay "found" by newspapers. (If he did make multiple journeys there should be ANPR coverage from motorways)
Trial by newspaper and by soshull meedya should be an anathema to everybody
He is not a minister he is an adviser
(and incidentally the report that he made multiple trips is based on a witness found by the papers that saw him in Barnard Castle ...... )
That has been denied and so far there is no evidence that he did make multiple trips.
He will probably now be hounded out of his job for doing what many would have done in simillar circumstances whereas anyone else would just be ticked off

Hang him. At 8pm next Thursday so the last thing he hears is everyone clapping.
