A Mail on Sunday headline...
'Boris tries to save Dominic Cummings' job by declaring 'it's not like he was visiting a lover' as maverick ally is accused of breaking lockdown rules THREE times, including second trip to parents' Durham home where he 'strolled in bluebell wood' with wife'
Hang him. That's not a very nice thing to say.

Let's hope him and the missus didn't tread on any bluebells, as they are a protected species. Three breaches of the 'lockdown' and one of interfering with a protected species. Hang him. Hypocracy Well, I have had enough of this. Several times you have spelt this wrong. Here's how it is spelt: H Y P O C R I S Y Now write it out 100 times.

If there is reliable evidence that he broke the rules then he should be treated the same as everybody else.
i.e. told not to be a naughty boy and don't do it again. You are forgetting the £60 fine for the plebs. If Pirkko and I travel by train from Paddington to Newbury, will the Police: a) tell us we are naughty or b) issue us with a £60 fine? Perhaps I should tell them I'm Dominic Cummings' cousin?

Now now mr fox, criticising our Great Leader. Don't you know COBRA spend hours on this for our benefit What the f is a 'Cobra' meeting anyway? Vindaloo down the local Indian curryhouse? Oh, I get it - like a snake poised to thrust and spit venom. Yes. An alert snake. Stay alert. The UK Government is alert. Are you? Cabinet Office Briefing Room A = COBRA.

If there is proof that he made repeated trips then he deserves censure and with his high profile position probably be asked to step down Asked to 'step down'? No, he should serve 10 years in prison.

He is not a minister he is an adviser Yes, I read he is a civil servant. Civil servants may not advise the government whilst receiving salaries for being civil servants. He has breached that law too.

He will probably now be hounded out of his job for doing what many would have done in simillar circumstances whereas anyone else would just be ticked off
No - everyone else gets £60 fines from the likes of Sergeant Gary Brown of the Met: Not long until the Chinese government is telling the UK Police what to do.

I thought this was quite funny actually... www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=hypocracyhypocracy "A democracy governed by hypocrites. The British government advocates moral standards to which it does not conform. Britain's political system is therefore a hypocracy"

Is this the same PM who shook hands with everyone and allegedly nearly died in hospital? The same PM who thought he was Churchill but actually looked like Max Headroom. Still, I wouldn't want the job...

That's not a very nice thing to say. For treading on our bluebells rather than breaking the rules that he wrote, of course. Bluebells, not as precious as 'our' NHS but precious, nonetheless.

If any of us had asked whether we could travel 200 miles (OK picky pedant 180) because partner was ill but self or child wasn't you know what the answer would have been, STAY AT HOME! Look after your wife and child. If you fall ill too, do what everyone else has to do, Cope with it. Tory backbenchers are turning on him now! Let's see what happens in the Westminster privelidge bubble this affy.
Back to reality, popped down to boat, just heard and seen a Peregrine Falcon overhead.

I'm just watching Boris on his 5pm box... I'm GLAD he's just defended D Cummiings... SO what if he did what he thought best...
WHO hasn't "bent" the " rules" - sorry ."guidance" at some point in the last 8 weeks?
I called in to see my dad when I went to the dentist. Figuring it might be the last time I ever saw him anyway and he felt the same.
eta - clever of him to address the Cummings issue first then kaboom with the KIDS ARE going back to school in June... that'll hopefully distract from the unimportant thing and get the snowflakes up in arms about risking precious tarquin and fifi trixie
WHILST Im on a rant.
interesting to read also that of the 36k deaths - 10k have come from care homes...
Without sounding harsh - they are gods waiting rooms anyway and if my dad was in one, HE and probably my brother and I would (whilst sad about it) would accept it as perhaps a kindess rather than tragedy.
