Just had an email from a friend saying her debit card isn't working, she is stuck in etc and would I send an amazon gift card to her niece for her birthday, turns out her account had been hacked, clever ruse but I would have spoken by phone to confirm, tried a couple of times. Luckily it was spotted and she alerted me. One of her email list fell for it.

Come on Coco...pick it up, I’ve read more informative posts on public toilet walls! 🙄🙄

Haha. Not everyone is tech savvy, no harm in posting a warning. It was real, one of her address book did fall for it. I've been having fun baiting the scammer for a little while. While they are dealing with me they are wasting time. They asked me to send £300.

How much did you send in the end?
Was it three and fourpence?

What I find disgusting is that the Employment Offices / Job Centres have 'telephone sales' down as a 'proper job' and if they offer you such a 'job' (which involves, let's face it, little more than annoying people you have never met) and you refuse to take it, they will cut your benefits.

Must admit I don't give scammers the time of day but little sis strings them along and my old friend in Scotland gets really angry and shouts at them....
