That's the point !
It was a black man so it didn't matter ... no one would be bothered.

On this one issue I'm more than happy to risk it.

I suppose another possible side to it is that if blacks are doing more crime they will tend to attract more attention from police so are statistically more likely to experience negative interactions. Statistics are dodgy but still quite interesting. Or maybe the statistics are made up by racist people. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Race_and_crime_in_the_United_States"Robbery According to the National Crime Victimization Survey in 2002, robberies with white victims and black offenders were more than 12 times more common than vice versa.[72][73]" It's an interesting topic. one would hope that rather than simply being angry with everyone else people would look at their own group behaviour and seek to modify it in order to modify the behaviour of others towards that group. Plenty of people never do crime at all and that's not just comfortable well off people. I suppose the US is different to the UK in some situations there might not be a choice but to do crime in order to survive.

Not for the first time you utterly miss the point. If you are talking to me, no, I don't think I miss any points here. I don't go along with Police violence, and I also don't go along with this latest sick craze of kneeling and prostrating yourselves before the masses saying "Black Lives Matter" by people who in reality don't give a toss about black people - and anyway, how much more racist a message can you get across? How about the three women in burkas holding up a sign saying "If you don't speak out you are complicit'. Have they spoken out about having to wear burkas, in fear of being beaten up if they refuse? What a lot of virtue-signalling band-wagon-jumping bollocks.

" “ What is not being told is the violent criminal history of George Floyd. The media will not air this,” police union president Bob Kroll told his members Floyd had landed five years behind bars in 2009 for an assault and robbery two years earlier, and before that, had been convicted of charges ranging from theft with a firearm to drugs Floyd had allegedly just tried to pass a phony $20 bill before he died." Shall we be having demonstrations for Floyd's victims? Somehow, I suspect not. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8387981/George-Floyds-memorial-service-held-Minneapolis.htmlWhat ever his alleged past he didn't deserve to have his neck knelt on until he died... I haven't even followed this 'story', so can't say much at all. But why is everyone kneeling now? It does seem odd - almost as if celebrating this method of arrest! I shall have to catch up on this at home. None of these protestors wreaking violence and general mayhem in England had even heard of Floyd two weeks ago, and they certainly didn't give a thought for his circumstances then.

I must be different I dont see colour in people I only see the person, I went out with Carol Pierre when I was younger a beautiful black lady, I have also gone out with a Pakistani lady, an Arabian lady, a German Lady and a Chinese lady. Colour and race dont come into the equation, good and bad exist everywhere you have to see beyond colour otherwise as a race we will never move on. Now I watched the video of the murder and why was a asian policeman looking on? Clearly America has a problem that they need to sort, because this time I dont think it will go away

I suppose the US is different to the UK in some situations there might not be a choice but to do crime in order to survive. This has already been covered by more than one prominent black leader: "lives are more important than property". So, people can indulge in as much criminality as they wish, they don't deserve to die for this. Fair enough. However, if a group of people carry out a disproportionate amount of crime and end up being searched, arrested, imprisoned etc. they can't really complain that the system which results in this is unfair.

I find it terribly depressing that nearly 50 years after Tom Sharpe wrote about the police of Piemburg, that the same attitude should exist in the USA.

The police seem to kill quite a lot of people in the US but it's only the black people who seem to cause issues like this. Seems a bit odd. I can't remember any riots happening when a white man has been brutally killed by police officers. The stats seem to show that the proportion of blacks killed by police is around 13.5% (31/228). Population of the US apparently includes 12.5% blacks so it doesn't seem to be a particularly unbalanced statistic. What I don't understand though is why there are so many described as "unknown" as it is generally quite easy to see skin colour. However in Minneapolis the police use force against blacks disproportionately to a factor of 7:1 apparently. www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/06/03/us/minneapolis-police-use-of-force.htmlyour interpretation of the statistics is faulty. the only way you can draw any conclusions is to disregard the 'unknowns'. perhaps 50% of the unknowns were black, who knows?
if 31 blacks were killed compared to 58 whites and other non-blacks, then the proportion of blacks is more than 30% although as you say, they are only 12% of the population.
ahhh !!! ......................... now it makes sense.

I don't 'give a toss' about 'white people', 'brown people' or 'yellow people', as such.
like most of the demonstrators I do give a toss about PEOPLE, especially the vast majority who are innocent until proved to be be guilty.
recent history clearly demonstrates that in some parts of the USA the police and the leaders (particularly that asshole Trump) do not treat blacks in the same way as whites.

The placards saying 'Black Lives Matter' is the twist. Why not: 'Lives Matter' ? I still have to read about this but found these two comments. I am not going down the 'Racist Avenue' but I am willing to mock this false virtue-signalling crap:
