Stand out stories for me today are as follows. £900,000 to paint a plane, I’d do it for half that. Matt Hancock with his arm around some fellow at today’s pmqs. Best of all though, read that Greece is reopening its brothels. New rules include 15 minutes max, masks to be worn, and best of all customers to pay with card and leave their name and phone number. What a day 😀

We had fish and chips from "Rene's Plaice" in Lymm for tea if that's of interest to anyone... 14.95 for twice and a curry sauce... NOT the best I've had (not as good as the ones from NewMarket Street Fisheries in Skipton) but perfectly ok...
Tomorrow, we're gonna move on to Anderton - although I can't find a way of booking so presume it's still closed!
Bummocks...

I watched some magpies picking on doves in our garden earlier. I went to chase them off and found a very poorly young dove on the ground. He/she is now in a shoe box, will give it a few hours and see what’s what. No idea what I can do to help though. Guess just let it go later and hope.

I'll refrain from mentioning the obvious. Rog lightly fried in butter and herbs?

Most years we'd pick up a dazed young collar dove from under a tree they nested in to stop the cats getting them. Next morning they'd fly off. Magpies are barstewards.

I've just checked - assuming the boat lift opens on 6th July, it'll be closed again by the 27th when we need to go down it!

Il leave it be then, seems ok in its box. Will release in morning.

I do have a new Bosun - who got "trapped" with me at lock down and agreed to stay and spend a season with me on the boat to see how he likes it.. AS for details, Well, he's called David, He's 30 He's half deaf and teaches sign language (which I'm learning slowly) HAS hair - teeth and is a gayer... ergo, compatible lol.
