Gazza, I read this thread through a teary haze as it brought back memories of those dear friends that I loved and lost, each one different but each one a fountain of love and happiness. Gazza it doesn't help but I'm with you Phil Thanks Phil, We set him free yesterday afternoon, We took the dinghy and tucked in under a Willow on a quite backwater very near to a spot he had spent countless hours at (pub very near by!) One last swim - and he was gone but never forgotten!

Just caught up, so sorry to hear this. It must be very tough for the dwarf I cant imagine what she's going through. Lovely photos mate. Thanks Mate, As i said bedtimes are the toughest - last night wasn't great but we will all get there bit by bit.

Hi @gazza, just read this thread, sorry to hear your news. We've lost a few dogs along the way, the last one 17 yrs old, relatively active till the last week, I've taken them to the vets and stayed while they were dispatched, always looked peaceful. I find I still miss her at odd moments. Like checking out a carpet in the loft that smelt of dog!
