Lock 46 on the Rochdale, CRT team there as I cycled to Littleborough. Half paddle full of water leaking under bottom gate, so a fair gush when filling lock. The lad in the drysuit commented that the floor was springy and lifted a piece of floor with his keb.
It's another wooden bottomed lock, they discovered lock 50 was the same earlier in the year. The water is going through the floor and under the gate cill. So will they do a quick repair with plastic sheet and ply wood or will they do a proper job with consequent stoppage.
A Shire hire coming down discovered the problem, they were hoping to do the ring via the Huddersfield canal.
