Prompted after chatting to a mate who's going to his boat on Monday for a few nights, where another friend is already on his boat.
I casually mentioned they'd be eating out and was very surprised that he said absolutely not ... he has no confidence it is safe to do so.
For what it's worth I would vote yes absolutely.

I struggle to go round to family, so not a chance of me going out to eat. There is one brewery tap I will go to but its garden only, very few people and pretty safe. I just dont believe its safe enough yet. I'm not dying to go to a restaurant.

I'm hovering between the situation hasn't arisen and yes if the situation arises
I think it depends on where, when and who with

We ate out a couple of nights ago, but it was outside. Iβm not sure Iβd want to eat out inside, but then that is mostly because we prefer to eat outside in the summer.

We have been out a few times in the past couple of weeks - however being in Western Australia the situation is a bit different here & thankfully people here have been sensible with public gatherings.....so farπ€

I find the use of the word "absolutely" in this poll is unacceptable.
One has to be really careful with language.

We have been seated inside premises that serve food on a number of occasions but thus far have only had drinks (simply because we'd recently eaten).
In every case the premises welcomed 'walk-ins' rather than any kind of bookings, and all but one were operating a table service system to restrict people's movements inside.
I would have been happy to have eaten had it been time.

We've been in shops many times since mid-March when schools were closed for 8 weeks due to Covid-19. Schools were re-opened for 12 school days before the Summer holidays. No-one has been wearing masks in shops (apart from us, and even we can't be bothered now) anywhere in Finland, and no-one when we were in Norway week before last. We've been to our hairdressers, no masks there. Only place where they have worn masks was when we have both been to the dentist. About half the staff at the Health Centre were wearing masks. Covid-19 certainly doesn't seem to be spreading like wildfire in Finland/Norway, and, as before, I have my suspicions that the whole thing may be a giant hoax. Black Plague of the Middle Ages it certainly isn't. The most noticeable things from my viewpoint are that thousands of people have died in Italy, Spain and the UK, and USA and 'worldwide' allegedly of Covid-19 (tested by test kits Made in China that don't actually work) - and that airlines have reduced their operations by 90%.
So, yes, I would dine at a canalside pub, my only reservations (as usual) being fear of food poisoning. Any food establishment that won't let you peek into the kitchen is suspect.

I don't 'dine out' but it's nothing to do with covid. Don't see the point in paying 10 quid for a plate of bang average food that I could make myself, to a higher standard, for a quid.

I'll maybe dine out once Boris starts paying 50% of the tab! Large Bargain Bucket of KFC sounds good for less than a tenner, a couple of extra fries and a tin of baked beans - throw the rather large amount of leftovers in the freezer and you have 6 delicious meals cooked for you for less than Β£2 each. What is not to like...?
