Found a poorly racing pigeon in the garden today. It's now in a comfy cage with food and water. I checked the RPRC site and put its ring number in the form. I was sent the contact number and details for the owner. It was an old chap in Harrogate, he claimed it wasn't his bird. Hmmm, maybe he doesn't want to drive to collect it. I'll take it to the local bird sanctuary this week, if it lives.

I'm surprised you haven't put it in a pie, cooked it, eaten it and given the left-overs to the whippet.

Flying rat. Need 6 for a pie. It's a thoroughbred. A bit scrawny, not a year old according to the ring number. Probably need 10. Or stick to the recipe, Four And Twenty Turdus Merlulas... Edited so as not to offend our pc member.

I always found the term "pigeon fancier" quite amusing.

I have not actually "seen the fanciers" as such although I did once encounter one briefly.
Do they congregate ?
