It's unclear to me where you are 'locked up'. Care to embellish? See first post - Newbury, just up from your boat.
Yes I know I can just sail away but sometimes it might be worth staying and making a fuss before sailing away.
Doesn't make sense to me - locked up where and how? I have alerted our marina owners to turn any riff-raff away.

. Why don't you move the boat? Because occasionally I think it is better to make a stand especially when you know you have the upperhand against authority and there is no risk to yourself - I still know how to get my beer supply if needed...

Don't touch our boat or I shall have to heat the mooring pins over a gas flame.

The towpath from Hebden Bridge to Todmorden was "upgraded" earlier this year by Rothenberger. A fine compacted gravel surface on top of hardcore. Ideal for whizzing along on the bike. Except the floods washed it out and sent Rothenberger's workbarge floating downstream. However while the work was happening the safety elves put up arris fencing and "no access" signs. I had cause to just nip round and walk along on the hardcore etc, really just a bit of uneven path, no problem for a competent adult (I took one along!). They are frightened of sewage, if someone turns an ankle etc.

Don't hold your breath ....
...I'm still waiting for a promised phone call about the closure at Atherstone in the autumn of 2017.
Has it re-opened yet?

I wonder if in the future Blacksheeps boat will be discovered gently rocking, whilst at the tiller a skeleton sits grinning with a phone clutched in its grasp....still waiting for the promised contact
