This one has always confused me. It looks expensive yes it is probably quite pleasant but if you have a large (got to be several hundred feet) Thames Riverside garden why not put a boat on it?? I bet for the money they spent on this crap they could get a really nice boat.. I've only got one camera available on the phone as the one on the back is broken.

Well yeah but this way they can enjoy their expensive wine without having their palette tainted...

Surely the wine would taste better on a boat like everything else.
It is remarkable to see the millions of pounds worth of real estate and hardly any boats at all.
I don't get it.

I don't get it, I get why you might want to sit over the river on a nice day, but why the glass box, must be friggin boiling today..

I expect it has air conditioning.
I did consider the possibility that the land owners "do not like boats" but discounted this due to the vanishingly small probability.
I reckon they were sold that item by some sort of clever targeted advertising scheme.
Magazine I'd bet.

That glass box has been there for years, it used to have a much better view up and down the river before the trees got so large. I can see the attraction of sitting in there on a summers evening with a glass or two watching the world go by. Forgot to mention the sides do slide open, or at least they did ten or so years ago.

I think they put it in sometime in the 90s. Vague memory of it being installed and I think it might have been transported there on a boat..
Have been past there countless times but never once seen anyone in it.
Certainly less pointless if the sides open up I didn't realise that.
I'd still prefer a boat though !

I remember a lunch/dinner party in there must have been about 2003. Seem to remember sides were open

Probably very nice on a cold winters afternoon too. With the heating on.

Perhaps they like showing their naked bums to passing boats?

Well suppose they don't get bothered by wasps or midges if shut up and air conditioned... not to my taste, i prefer the great outdoors
