Odd pops an bangs here - not amounting to anything much at the moment though ⚡⚡⚡ I think we had all better get used to this new norm, a program I was watching showed ever increasing temps is what has been happening for the last thirty years or more. BBC1 this morning was going on about tropical nights and how that is going to be new norm, I am working out how to get my drive batteries to power AC in the boat as its been horrendous this last week

Bloke I know runs a portable AC in his wide bean off solar. He does have six of those big panels. Victron inverter.
Seems to work ok not sure what it's like on those very warm days when sun is not out.
LiFePo4 batteries .

Huh; you lot are jammy, all we have are a few wispy clouds illuminated by a waning moon. Reasonable sunny weather here - again, as I was going home, the boss asked me if I could help out as yesterday's driver for this route (below) was late again. I did it yesterday as a favour, but had to stop to consult the maps a few times, as it really goes into the back of beyonder - and I thought today, whilst still fresh in my mind, I'd try to do it without the maps. Yes, succeeded, but even bombing along stretches at 80km/h (sand & gravel flying!) I got back into town at 1508, and realised there's no way I can ever do that 'loop' in one hour with the next departure for 1510 and still a few minutes away from the point where I was at 1508. 1 hour for that route - I reckon 2 hours in Winter!! Anyway, here's some pics nicked from the Google Street Man: 16.5 tonne Scania today (weight without freight/passengers).
