Much as I am happy with the premise of an un-moderated forum can we please appoint a "Spam Zapper" or two? Just to get rid of the annoying crap? I'm not talking our member residing in Finland here, I'm talking the squiggly writing stuff and obviously unhinged multiple posting ranter.

I think we're back to the "TB needs someone with administration authority, other than its absent owner."

Well I dunno how we can sort out the squiggly man cepr for never opening the threads Chap on the left needs signing up! Or this one: James Bond Golden Eye's villain, pen-twirling computer whizz Boris Grishenko, who had a classic baddie death as he was fatally frozen by some computer coolant. Oh, he got frozen. The one up top, then.

Why would viewing or posting afterwards make the blind bit of difference? It's a malicious 'spam' or something sent out automatically/sporadically from a 'bot' that sticks onto anything that will take it. Perhaps Proboards need a better 'firewall'? The quickest cure is to be on top of the game and delete such nonsense threads as they pop up. More drastic measures if 'it' won't go away.
Thunderboat is a simple discussion forum - if hackers can get into the FBI / CIA / banks, I bet they wouldn't have a problem with Proboards. I'm guessing the nuclear weapons systems must be a bit safer (codes written by hand under Trump's granny's mattress?), as there haven't been any really big bangs recently.

Trouble is, any one who volunteers will then have to put up with pages of speculation about their motives.

I would nominate Mr Stabby as the ideal candidate. He's well versed in disposing of 'unwanted stuff' ... he's a regular visitor here ... and apart from tending his tresses he has loads of free time Rog
