I just happened to have it on the chart table. Did seagulls have extension arms available? I'll keep an eye out for one if so. They sure did but I've only ever seen plastic ones.

I'm the photographer in the test run shots! My mates shed is an awesome thing, more than a couple of daft bits of kit have been created on there. The Villiers one took a few pulls to burst into life, the Wipac equipped featherweight genuinely went first pull. I think he's up together with them now but the s actively on the hunt for another, I'll let you know if he needs anything π»ππ¨π I have a 102 AC that I've sort of lost interest in - reality says I'll never use it. Its very original and also quite shiny, having been assembled from the most choice parts I came across. Its as near to new as you'll find. It has a tank that has had all the dings knocked out of it by a genius metalworker but I couldn't bring myself to paint it - its so shiny and nice. Also have a complete set of original decals. Maybe post a pic later. As my mate said - they are only original once ππ»

It's about 22 inches long Here it is on the chart table. ETA I've also still got the little clamp thing which goes at the top. Just realised this is the long shaft item, even better. The clamp is a thing made of mild steel and originally zinc-plated; they are all rusty but I have a stainless replica for the SC.

Because of a high degree of interchangeability among models and variations of models, many Seagulls you see advertised have inappropriate parts which do the job but are incongruous.

I would have thought using a stainless T bolt clamp was a little infra dig ! There are limits. I considered having an original clamp re-plated but then I thought 'bollocks to that'. So infra-dig it is.

This one has indeed lost its plating But it's still a real thing ETA looking at it I think it might still have some plating left. It's just a bit dirty. I'll just go and give it a scrub with the washing up scourer.

And I'm like "yeah yeah yeah looks ok to me a bit of pitting but not too bad. Got to be better than a boy racer exhaust pipe clamp isn't it." And I'm like "@nemesis SO doesn't even KNOW about my Seagull outboard motor beer can holder isn't it".

It is actually not a bad example. But of greater interest are the brass barrel nuts...
