While we use avatar /forum names and play about with them at times, I like to know people's names. Eg @nemesis, what do you have to hide, perhaps you can't admit being Algernon, Boris, Cyril or Zebedee?
I find the use of my surname as a first name a bit weird, Riley, but it takes all sorts. We had one arse of a teacher at school who called the lads by their surnames, girls by there first names, no other teachers did that, perhaps he came from one of those posh paid for upbringings.

Like Jim, who I am is an open book ..... I don't use my surname because it's a mouthful (not as much a mouthful as Peterboat's but still a mouthful) Though if anyone wished it would be easy enough to find ... it's been posted on here a few times. Most know where I live (I'm still waiting for MJG to come and tell me face to face what he thinks of my posting style as he threatened .... shame, I've been keeping my extra long boathook sharp)
My views are my own and unless proven wrong, I stand by them

Same here - Gazza a contraction (1 letter fewer!) of Gareth, althoughi am sure it was mouse cousin that Started calling me Gaz way back when in the mid 80βs. No matter - I respond to most things (often rude!) but never hide behind a pseudonym; hell, Iβm even a self confessed Northampton Saints fan! Thatβs on a par with the Vow in sickness and in health, for richer for poorer!

I am who I am..Patty Ann was the name my dad called me..shortened from Patricia Ann. .... I tried hiding behind a pseudonym for an alternative Twitter a/c when I wrote my Mental Health Blog and associated posts...however that did not end well when someone I knew misinterpreted Tweets so I had to close that one down...cannot stand the hassle.

My name is andrew. All of the first born males on my dad's side are called andrew as a first name but the used name was the second one.
I was given Ossian as a used name by my parents but had a lot of trouble at school with such a silly name so I adopted andrew instead when I was 11.
I'm still 11, 35 years later.
And still andrew.
Magnetman came about because I started selling powerful magnets and joined canalworld to advertise them. Then stopped before the craze took over. Missed a trick there !
I am no longer magnetman although that is my username on the forum still.

My name's Roger and I'm an alcoholic ... not really ... alcoholics go to meetings Thanks to loafer for that line. Seems we are finally introducing ourselves just before proboards or Delta9 pulls the plug. If that should happen will it make my thunderboat polo shirt a collectors item and worth a fortune on ebay ? No it won't.
But anyway I have asked Evangeline for one last favour before she goes to work for the FIS in January with a paid-for apartment by lake Geneva.
My request was for full personal details of everyone who has ever posted on here.
And she said "bugger off".
It must be a brexit (and a woman) thing. [brrrrrrr]
One does have to worry, as an Englishman, when our finest secret service admin staff decamp to Switzerland.
That's bad. I mean I know fishing and sovereign rights are bad but we are talking about an iceberg here, and that's not a Jewish joke (yet).

Both being Scousers they thought Gareth was a bit formal! So Gaz it was unless you were in trouble with your mother!! GARETH at volume 11!!!

Its a bit like an AA meeting in here, I use my username because its the same one I use on every forum I use.
I've never kept my name a secret and have at the beginning of TB, signed of many posts with it.
But for those who don't know its Adrian.
I am named that way because my parents didn't know my self during pregnancy so I was going to be Adriana or Adrian.
We didn't find out either of our twos set either but chose two separate names for both.
ETA just saw Rog beat me, the page must have refreshed after I posted.
