Today £1 = €1.08 ... down from 1.15 (and was 1.40 four years ago early June before Brexit vote).
Will save us a lot of £££ when our next marina parking place bill arrives smiley-face smiley-face smiley-face

Tis a sign of how far the tories have dragged down the country. Still good for you, and it will be good to have you back on our waters.

Moorings must be pretty expensive if it's going to be a £££ saving or was that £.pp It's the south of England so £££££. I had a feeling the K&A would be our downfall, and we haven't even got to the unlicenced piss-taking 'hippies' yet! Actually, it's a good place to be stuck, and we did the stretch to Devizes and back last October and that is very nice countryside all the way. I will have to ask my boss this week how she feels about me nipping over, in case I get landed with a 2-week quarantine on return, although that is only 'recommended' and not supervised, so it would seem. And, as we all* know by now, there is no virus - Covid-19 is just a handy way to have people scared so the government can manipulate them into complying with whatever they fancy. *does not include idiots

Plane tickets are a lot cheaper at the moment - 125 Euros KLM return, but then the UK 'authorities' might make a fuss about 'having come from the Netherlands' which is on the 14-day-quarantine list. Finland is quarantine-free for entry into the UK. Oh... £3.10 Underground Heathrow-Paddington.

And:? You must of saved an absolute fortune!🙄 It's that percentage off everything we buy in the UK, so, yes, I am happy to have it as 1.08 rather than 1.15. Food, petrol, car hire, diesel for the boat, engine oil, taxi fares, trains, you name it, we're saving on it! Question is.... December 31st is looming... what will happen then, as regards Brexit... and that could have been interesting enough without Boris and his incompetent gangs of frauds.
