Actually I do intend to decorate it as it does look a little slab-sided and needs something to break this up. I have ordered three retro tinplate signs, the two for the sides are motoring themed (Honda and NGK spark plugs) and I should be fitting this to the rear at the weekend. It measures 11" x 8" so it should be fairly understated. I'm not quite sure what a "Lyons Maid" is but possibly older members such as Dogless and Telemachus might remember them.

To be honest I'm not 100% sure yet if I'm going to fit it to the shed as two of those kids appear to be ginger.

I prefer cake. Lyons was the first company to use computers in the back office when they first became available.

I remember a sign like that at the Lock Keepers ‘cottage Watford Flight in the mid-late eighties!

Won't he cause a traffic jam/unwarranted interest from the authorities with signs like that displayed on his new structure?

I've not been posting so much cause I've just not had time to pick up a laptop in between guests coming/going/trying to cook and serve meals at arms length wearing a stupid mask after taking folks temperatures 3 times a day and wiping the inside of the boat down with disinfectant so often, the varnish is coming off... The fact that folks also think they can have a full refund when cancelling due to covid 1-2 weeks before they were due "in case" of more extreme measures where they live etc.
Don't get me wrong, it's good being busy but being busy in this way was not the plan - it's supposed to be a live-aboard adventure around the canals and rivers, not barier nursing and a sterile boat. Daily showers is one thing but putting tv remote controls in plastic bags in a step too far.
If anyone could work out how to live and pay off divorce loans on universal credit - please let me know the secret.
Anyhow - we leave nantwich tomorrow with a new guest arriving...from a "locked down area" but he's taken the view that Borris can go feck himself lol.

Keep your pecker up, Mark - sounds like you're doing a grand job (and at least your new guest sounds like he's up for a good time.....)! Take care x
