I've worked out it is "Femoral Neuropathy" which apparently 70% of people recover from within a year. And 30% don't! Herniated disc / pulled muscle is my guess. Eat more fruit and veg. Could be scurvy, out there on the Thames with no fresh oranges. Or course, Weil's Disease or Polonium poisoning - and Thames Water admit to tipping raw sewage into the river: "Thames water faces paying a record fine for dumping more than a billion litres of sewage in the river." www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4324888/Thames-Water-faces-record-fine-polluting-river.htmlIt could be diet related that's true. As for survival I have yet to come across a person who survived being alive.

I’m trying to suss out if that’s a Honda Melody or a Honda Vision 🤔 Vision is my guess. You'd probably need an x ray to check it I do question the intelligence level of someone who finds something like this which is clearly quite delapidated and thinks that the "rider" may still be in the area. It seems more likely that someone stole the thing and dumped it in the cut. They will be long gone.

Yes I know but the painkiller thing is relevant. I managed to get a repeat scrip for the codeine and as I have an exemption from paying I thought while I can get it I may as well. The tablets have gone into the original metal first aid box on Dulcinea which also has the needles and thread for sewing up one's own massive injuries while out in a storm in the Atlantic. I felt that codeine phosphate 30mg might be useful for this kind of event. 48 tablets of above now in the box along with the cash. I have a suitcase full of first aid kit including compression stuff and chest drains used on the field..they were all donated to the Expedition and as not used/now out of date they were left at mine. So if u feel u need your first aid box stocking up ....... Joking aside i have no idea what to do with it all as cannot donate for abroad as it all out of date yet it seems such a shame to send it to landfill. I guess one day I'll get it out of the store and check out exactly what is there. I have a large Quality Street tin full under my sink just in case my DIY caused injuries.

You don't argue with a man who removes a bronze skin fitting with an angle grinder

Yup. I was trawling the cut with a ridiculously large neodymium magnet before anyone else had even heard of neodymium magnets I've ended up with more old iron windlasses and boathooks than I know what to do with. You must have all of the good stuff out now. You could get a ridiculously big electro magnet on the crane you have on the toy trawler, power it with your lifepo4’s. I know someone who could use one for lifting boats😉

The boater/supermarket trolly thing is spot-on. Last time we were at Brownsover there were four supermarket trollies left on the park side near the bin ... clearly boaters using them and then abandoning them. But the condition of elsans and most rubbish disposal points are largely down to boaters too ... if we all took greater responsibility there'd be fewer occasions we encounter unsatisfactory conditions. Rog But you said elsans were great apart from less than 1%...Im confused now. Most elsans I visit are fine. Those that are not fine have been left messy by boaters using them. All elsans I visit are cleaner when I leave (because I hate the idea of someone believing I've left it messy.) It''s not that confusing is it ? Rog

A redundant transducer has required a recip saw and a 9" angle grinder 😵 Poor old Vanguard - good job mouse wasn't there to witness the destruction - still, got to crack an egg to make an omelette 👍🍻

Sutures are too modern. And there are no sails on this vessel. Not even a steadying sail. None. No sails. Yes but thats how far ahead the builder of your boat was looking.

Oh yes the "no more diesel in the world" thing. I reckon old tombstone Ted (boat builder) knew his shit and worked out he would not be alive to worry about that sort of thing come hell or high water. I'm young enough to be his son and I still can't see any reason for sails on a boat. Yes maybe my children and thier children's children and their children's children's children and their children's children's children's children (am I labouring the point?) may have to worry about a lack of diesel but me ? No. And if I get a really bad cut I would rather use needles and thread than "sutures".

Some may say that that in that area, they should probably allow it to go off. Sort the scroates out. Scrotes. Yes, indeed. Didn't notice that a sneek in there.
