When the big Covid-19 Lockdown started in the Spring i decided to use the isolation/opportunity to do a couple of projects that might be a little frivolous or light-hearted but would take some thought, and a bit of graft. Something personal to us and Cygnus which would be marked discretely for future reference. Sort of Covid-19 artifacts. Here's the first.

very nice Joe !!! impressive in fact !!! I am afraid my Covid projects were much more prosaic ...... my "Bridge of sighs" during the original lockdown My latest is replacing the doors on my front hatch with a pair of glazed hardwood doors I have acquired, which require fairly major alteration as well as extensive refurb ....... however they had the major advantage of being free

My next project. An old engineers tool chest that I used to use at work. I'm going to repair it, put some doors on the front and paint some nautical stuff on it.

I drew the shapes out on some old ply and cut them out with a jigsaw then shaped them gingerly with a angle grinder and flap disc, tiddled them up with files and sandpaper before painting them. I painted the base board and stuck the bits on.
