A good tip, if you have sky mobile you can stream sky go without using any data. Not over chromecast you cant. Sky go only works on the original device, unless you have an hdmi output on your laptop then you can connect it to a tv.

i need to try something next time i go the boat, we have a 4g router with a sky sim in it, its a standard phone contract sim, i wonder if i stream sky go on the phone or firestick, or get a now tv stick, if it will use data..

We got a smart tv for the boat recently, IMO this rather supersedes the need for Chromecast etc and as someone said, allows one to browse TB on tablet / phone during the dull bits of a programme. Oh and also allows one to appear very clever during University Challenge and Pointless! I believe I inherited one such with the boat, not sure what to do with it as I rarely watch TV, and I use my phone to catch up on 'Endeavour' and programs I missed the first time round, I removed the onmi aeriel thingy as it looked ugly, now have a nice modern chrome horn and tunnel light on the roof.
