I don't get all this heat over antisemitism. OK, it's not ideal that a lot of Labour supporters don't like Jews, given that the party pretend that everyone is equal in every way. This feeling is deeply entrenched though, it goes back to the Russian revolution. Anyway Jews are such a tiny minority of the electorate that pissing them off a bit really has no bearing on things. Jewish people will doubtless continue to work hard and be successful regardless of what a few (and it is a few) Labour politicians think about them.
If Labour want to get serious about more important things they should re visit their belief that tens of millions of people in this country are racist. That's how to win an election Sir Keir, don't call your key supporter groups racist. It's quite simple really.

As far as I can tell it is all about the virtue signalling London liberal elite being too dense to understand the difference between criticising the Israeli state for, eg their treatment of Palestinians, vs despising someone because of their Jewish religion. The difference seems quite obvious to me, but not to a lot of other people it seems.

The problem is, as you say, that some people are so virtuous and thick that they collate criticism of the Israeli state with antisemitism. Our society is such that if anyone makes an accusation of any 'ism' all the other thick virtuous folk jump on the bandwaggon and in no time, the thickos assertion becomes the 'truth'. Then, any conversation in opposition of this 'truth' or indeed nuances around it is quickly shut down by loud shouts of 'racist!' (or other 'ist, as appropriate). This applies equally to conversations around race, gender etc., it's not limited to discussion about Jews. It's like a cancer on free speech, free thought and intelligence.

any conversation in opposition of this 'truth' or indeed nuances around it is quickly shut down by loud shouts of 'racist!' Not lately Now more than ever I'd suggest. It's a 'progressive' thing. If you question any brand new suggestion regarding gender equality you're branded a misogynist. If you question any brand new suggesting regarding equality of sexual orientation you're branded a homophobe. If you question any aspect of 'black lives matter' you're branded a racist. In this case you don't even need to question it to be branded in this way. Just keeping quiet suffices.

Before Corbyn made his statement Starmer had said that questioning the reports validity was a no no, so what did Corbyn do? It was a deliberate act by Corbyn designed to get the result it did, either that or Corbyn is thick as mince. Same with RLB and her tweet asked to remove it, she declined so was sacked.
It all stinks of "I can't be the leader so neither can you and I will destroy the party to stop you".
ETA the report said the Labour Party wasn't institutionally Anti-semitic and pointed at the fault lying in Corbyn's office....
