"Meanwhile a winding stream of people queued outside an IKEA in Batley, West Yorkshire, in a bid to stock up on essentials before a month spent indoors." I will lay my cards on the table and say that I have never in my life set foot in an IKEA store. I do have a general idea of what type of retail outlet it is, and I'm curious as to what in its product range could be considered to be "an essential"? Office desk.

I'm a dab hand at fitting Ikea kitchens, known them last 30 years, good quality. The trick in the stores is to suss out the short cuts through the snaking path they lead you along. The staff don't walk extra miles to get around. Go on a wednesday and you can use the family card, coffee top ups free, meatballs chips and lingonberry sauce. Yum.

Meatballs, you know they are made from dogs, but so nice, I always take some frozen ones home.
I made a desk for my stint at home from an old shelf unit, still have it stashed away, just in case they send me home again, doubt it though.
Ill miss the pub and we had planned to go to the boat this month to check it and drain down for winter.

Yes it is but I hadn't heard when I logged on and because so much else of Foxys is cut n paste from whatever source I assumed this was the same. I have since heard the news and facts are verified.

We were in there on Saturday buying Jayne one as she will be working from home, in reality the shelves were cleaned out but we managed to cobble something together. I said just buy an office chair and use the dining table but was told I was wrong, in reality she now admits that would have been the best idea as the dining table has to go into the conservatory and I am refusing to eat in there as its to cold!

Cor that's a blast from my past ... loved that album in my teens.
Had a ticket to see Jethro Tull perform the album live but was ill and never got there.
