I was a master of it at school Last in class in mid term assesments Top 3 in the end of year exams Written on one school report; " His astonishingly good exam result only goes to prove what we all knew, He is the classic example of a lazy schoolboy" I still wear that one with pride 55 years after the event

I've got that really badly it's almost become an ism. It's a sindrome. Deadly.

Jim I've already been diagnosed with CBA syndrome that was years ago. This one is a more recent discovery. Must see the doctor about it and get it on the record. I wonder if they do meds for it. Your "deadly" comment made me want to listen to my favourite 90s song. Ice Ice baby by Vanilla Ice. "Deadly when I play a dope melody Anything less than the best is a felony Love it or leave it, you better gangway You better hit the bullseye, the kid don't play If there was a problem, yo, I'll solve it Check out the hook while my DJ revolves it." ice ice baby I'm like "way to go". I could do this song on a karaoke as know all the lyrics off by heart.

I could do this song on a karaoke as know all the lyrics off by heart. And I'm like 'we want the video fool' so that is your lockdown project. It would ideally feature your daughters doing the dance however I think their reaction to that idea will be 'OMG I was like no way'.

I suspect you may be right re the girls.
The younger unit quite often requests a song which @loddon put me onto actually.
She's like "do hier Kommt Alex"
And also one of my mum's favourite songs gets requested quite often
Children are quite funny really. Nightmare situation in general but I'm like "good amusement value and the biological imperative"

This popped into my head this afternoon, so I had to look it up. I think it would suit a video I have in mind to make:

None of these charts and statistics mean very much at all, anyone can make anything up - and so they do. I bet people are more scared of getting stopped by the Police on their car journey and getting a fine and named-and-shamed, than they are of the virus. This is how governments keep the little people in control. There's nothing wrong with admitting you can't read a graph drawn up from facts. We understand there are many reasons people don't do well at skule. Dyslexia, dispraxia, cleverbutcantbearsedia, justthickia. The problem is and unless I am missing something, the graph does not show who produced it and where they got their data from, so is it drawn up from facts?

There's nothing wrong with admitting you can't read a graph drawn up from facts. We understand there are many reasons people don't do well at skule. Dyslexia, dispraxia, cleverbutcantbearsedia, justthickia. The problem is and unless I am missing something, the graph does not show who producedata it and where they got their data from, so is it drawn up from facts? If you look at the daily NHS Covid admissions data, the number of admissions has increased over the last few weeks but have been pretty flat for the last 10 days. The graph they showed didn't really show this and they just concentrated on predictions which are based on theory to justify another 4 weeks of 'staying at home'. (I don't like the term 'lockdown' it's demeaning, as are masks - both which are not recommended by WHO as primary countermeasures for this virus). Also, Boris quoted the highest number of deaths from the data on the 4th Nov. Strangly the NHS data for yesterday, which was much lower, wasn't released until 9.30pm last night. Again the death figures have increased over the last few weeks but have been fairly flat for over the last week (so has the number of cases). I've been looking at the data since the beginning and I find it difficult to justify the level of controls that have been imposed. I have wondered whether the virus is being used to bring in changes in the hope that we can lesson our impact on the environment. More people working from home seems sensible for example. However the long term impact on our economy and heath due to the controls may never be quantified. How do you test for that? If this is about the climate, I wish our governments around the world would just say that and stop using fear to 'manage' us. There is increasing suspicion of conspiricy theories on social media which could undermine any good to come out of this. Public trust in leadership is falling around the world, troubling times. www.england.nhs.uk/statistics/statistical-work-areas/covid-19-hospital-activity/

"I know we live in a democracy but wouldn't it be nice to be able to round this lot up and put them in a hard labour camp like they have in North Korea."
"You haven't noticed, have you? We don't live in a democracy any more. The government tells you where you can go and who you can associate with."

Doing great in Sweden, aren't they? Borders closed to their neighbours - Denmark, Norway, Finland.
"Sweden's coronavirus death toll passes 6,000 as new infections surge"
"A total of 141,764 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Sweden to date, according to the latest available data, and the figure has been on a steep increase since mid-October, after beginning to climb in mid-September."

You do realize don't you, that who (whomever) ever drew this was using an "etch-o-sketch" and ACTUALLY trying to draw a house butcouldn't work out how to get back from the smoke coming out of the chimney to put the windows in? ... they obviously had a few goes at it before shaking it and starting over.

Whilst I refuse to believe that there is a whole world conspiracy, there is something very odd happening. I don’t see how anyone, can look at the latest UK data, and not see that new cases have at worst levelled off, at best falling. I have so far put it down too our leaders loving their newfound powers. We are certainly being mislead. I’m hoping that recent murmurings, from the likes of Theresa May might shake some truths out. We are being lied to and conned. Anyway, lovely morning, going to pop to the boat, it needs essential maintenance. Good roads on the way there as well.

UK number of total Covid related deaths per million = 708 Sweden number of total Covid related deaths per million = 593 The deaths per million is only accurate within certain limits due to different ways (and countries ability/honesty) in collecting data. A lot also dpends on the population density, population mobility and how that population is dispersed. There are some very weird figures to illustrate
India 90 Bangladesh 36 Peru 1048 Belgium 1079 Nigeria 6 San Marino 1237 San Marino for God's sake ...... just about the smallest country but with the highest percentage death rate !!!
maybe it has the highest average age ? (just a guess)
so doesn't matter where the figures come from .... a lot of it is guess work (complicated by the discovery that mink can have a form of covid and pass it on to humans)
