Probably the most stupid post you have ever made. I didn't express a view, just posted the Jonathan Pie clip so those that were able and inclined to, could view it and consider their own views. The act of posting such a clip makes you a guilty party. I rather enjoy his rants - lot of truth in them.

I expressed a view that it was 'worth a watch' without saying whether I agreed, disagreed, or thought it sad or funny.
So is @nemesis declaring "your view is flawed" just saying it's not worth a watch ?
Or was his comment directed at foxy ?

Sorry naughtyfox if you did post it a few weeks ago ... There's nothing wrong with posting it again. Apparently the NHS are desperately short of nurses, so get yourself down to a hospital near you for some Christmas dosh. The Devil makes work for idle hands, as the saying goes. Ooh - Hercule Poirot on at 4pm!

Obviously you were going to get remarks you wouldnβt like. Jane shouldnβt leave you on your own, you get up to mischief. π€ͺ

Rog In truth I confused this guy with a shit-stirrer Ross is unsurprisingly fond of and who isn't joking at all.

Virtue signalling, agreed, a right wing insult. WOKE though is entirely different and ultra left wing. Have you (nemesis) been on another planet for the last 5 years?

In fact, and as previously mentioned I was unaware of the term until I chanced on this cesspit forum. When I was younger there was a set of vegan home-weave wearing mohican-hairstyled fans of Chumbawumba who preached an end to competition. They were about as left as it got (apart from those selling 'Militant Socialist' on street corners). The term 'woke' hadn't been invented, and as far as I can see is just the latest collective insult for anybody who voted remain. So describe 'woke' (not Ross).

WOKE is something that originally intended as a positive thing to claim to be. Being woke was being aware and sensitive to those around you, to proclaim you had no isms, you were good person who treated all equally and respectfully. WAS. Then, we see it taking over. It's taken over every American University and is pushed to it'sblimits to destrybpeople for daring to even discuss anything. Are you aware of the shit JK Rowling got into for saying women have periods? She's a hate figure for that because her thoughts are "wrong", in that the only acceptable view is that anyone identifying as a woman is a woman. And so it goes on for every ism. You're for us or you're a homophobic racist enemy, there can be no discussion, no grey area. Now, yes, WOKE has become an insult, but not a right wing one, an "everyone but the far left" one. It's a worry. Check out US university's. Big corporations even. Google is your friend.

It's a worry. Check out US university's. Big corporations even. Google is your friend. The gender identity thing has been written into law. She may as well as said 'you're not black unless both your parents are'. The 'who uses what toilet' discussion is divisive isn't it? Personally my fear is that the queue for the men's toilet during the interval at the theatre is going to get longer. Things change, get used to it. I watched a documentary about Alan Turing's life last night - the horrific scandal that enveloped his life was seen as 'just desserts' at the time. What you describe is just the new youth politics (which is only any good if you can scream about it). Someone chucked a big rock into the middle of the pond. Corporations go along with it because its bad for business not to. At the moment the ripples are huge. A lot of those shouting the loudest at the university will, in thirty years time, be accountants and solicitors whose main concern will be their pension fund, and we will still have a two-party parliamentary process which carries the label 'democracy'. The Prime Minister will most likely be a mixed-race tranny from Romania though. Don't worry about it.
