Thanks, but I'm certain I haven't got it ... I wasn't seeking sympathy ... just that after all I've read on testing I was genuinely surprised and impressed by the speed and ease of the system, and thought it right to spread the good news.

I wasn't seeking sympathy ... just that after all I've read on testing I was genuinely surprised and impressed by the speed and ease of the system, and thought it right to spread the good news. Rog A chap in our marina fell ill last week. Some Covid 19 symptoms, rang to book to go for a test. Test centre offered was about a 150mile round trip, he declined and they sent him a postal test. His wife felt rough a couple of days later, she also requested a postal test. Hers came back next day, his 5 days later, despite him having sent it away a day before hers. Anyway, both negative. Mind you, he is still quite ill, but itβs not covid so maybe it doesnβt matter? Our daughters BFs grandad died yesterday, wasnβt covid either( unless he tests pos after death I suppose). I think some are forgetting that there are other ways of death catching up with people. Currently, Iβd wager the best chance of me going anytime soon involves a mad fast toy carπ

ETA The test swab (self done in the car) was sealed in two bar-coded bags and submitted into a sealed hazard box having been scanned. And then lost, or mixed with someone else's test.

I've had the test.... You give your contact details at the Centre ..they 'tick' you off as being there..you then get your test..you fill in the details on the test pack which you then put in the container to go to the lab... I cannot see how it can be as Foxy says..Does he really believe all the drivel that he posts? The above statement from Foxy to me is another pile of dung..... Its constant dung and drivel that he posts Patty. Steve was right when he posted he was away with the fairies, I think he has posted drivel for that long he now believes it I still see no electric cars on the streets. Drivel indeed!

If the test result shows 'positive' it's quite possible it's not true at all. Boris & pals need positive test results to keep this sham going. Run away, run away, it's behind you! I've read tales of people going to test centres, not being bothered once they saw the length of the queue, went home untested ... three days later 'positive' test results in the post. True or false? It's not the cough that carries you off it's the coffin they carry you offin! Well, if it's a "no show" it makes sense to flag as positive, so one should isolate, just in case. If you don't want to isolate, get a test, hope it shows negative, simple.

I hope you'll be Ok Rog. If I remember correctly, there are around 199 other cold type viruses out there. The chances of being tested and it being Covid-19 (as opposed to the other Coronaviruses out there and other viruses) is about 8% looking at the ONS data for the last 7 days. If everyone in the country was tested over the last 7 days and 8% of us were found to be positive, then it makes you think how many of us over the last 40 weeks or so must have had it and built up immunity. If everyone in the country was tested over the last 7 days and 8% of us were found to be positive, then it makes you think how many of us over the last 40 weeks or so must have avoided coming into contact with someone carrying Covid. Well, it makes you think how many of us over the last 40 weeks or so must have avoided coming into contact with someone we love. Probably 67 million of us. My mum made it to 100 BTW.

I've been with the one I love 24/7 since it started. That's good enough for me.
