The point is - you know you done the right thing... I was living in fear of catching it and passing it on to my mum when i was working. As her only carer the sense of responsibility was hoooooj.. Ended up having 3 separate tests in as many months. Booked online and a very smooth process from beginning to end. I mean, how would you feel if you'd ended up passing it on to someone vulnerable.. You done the right thing!

The Daughter in laws grandad and her aunt and uncle are all in Chesterfield Royal with the virus. Kerry had to be tested because she cut the hair of one of them before lockdown, test was local, quick and came back negative, so it really does matter where you live to how quick you are tested. All of the 3 that are in hospital are very ill no idea what the outcome will be but Grandad is in his 80s

Well, if it's a "no show" it makes sense to flag as positive That's like phoning someone on their landline and, when they don't answer, assuming they're at home. bit simplistic, not the same risk to all and sundry, spreading covid.

Look Jim, Covid is Mother Nature's way of weeding her garden and we just cannot hide from it. Every time we come out of lockdown it will just start up again and it will continue to do that until it has run its course. The only thing we can affect is the collateral damage it causes along the way and in that regards we are approaching it in the worst way possible. But as a typical thick-as-mince Labourite, when the unemployment figures jump to six million and house repossessions are running in the hundreds of thousands in 2021 and beyond, this in your pea-sized wooden brain will all have been caused by "The Wicked Tories". No offence meant, obviously.

You done the right thing! I would not have gone and wasted people's time ... but my sister (a nurse) is tested weekly and cannot work without a negative result. You're right ... one of Jane's work colleagues has a son who underwent heart surgery earlier this year ... Jane does not want to be the one blamed for passing on the virus ... no great problem to me ... for Jane's benefit, and her colleagues, I've had the test ... unlike my sister I only have to do it once. Nursing and general hospital staff (like Mrs @gazza ) have been working hard on our behalf ... the sceptics, the believers and the general public ... and to do so, have to jump through so many hoops. I find some of the more ridiculous rules introduced particularly irritating (e.g. I can visit Tesco everyday for booze, lottery tickets and tobacco but I can't buy my child a pair of shoes) but I truly believe we have to find ways of living with this virus. Personal responsibility ... hygeine, space and common sense ... should get us there. Let's hope 2021 brings a new chance. Rog

Ok, just started to read Agenda 30. First sentence of preamble....
"This Agenda is a plan of action for people planet and prosperity. It also seeks to strengthen universal peace in larger freedom."

"the planet probably sees us as a mild threat; something to be dealt with, and I’m sure the planet will defend itself in the manner of a large organism. Like a beehive or an ant colony can muster a defence, I’m sure the planet will think of something. What would you do if you were the planet trying to defend against this pesky, troublesome species? Let’s see… what might… hmm… viruses! Viruses might be good. They seem vulnerable to viruses. And uh… viruses are tricky; always mutating and forming new strains whenever a vaccine is developed."

As I said previously, it's difficult to commit to a serious discussion here.

As I said previously, it's difficult to commit to a serious discussion here. Rog And as I said previously you just have to accept that on a forum, other posters may disagree with your opinion. It is ludicrous that I can work with somebody all day but then be forbidden to visit their house after work for a cup of tea. It is ludicrous to have two lockdowns sandwiched around "eat out to help out". It is not ludicrous to suggest that Mother Nature may consider that her planet has started to become over-run with humans who are having a detrimental effect and has decided to rectify the situation. The same thing happens with every other species if they become over-prolific so why not us?
