The thing is... if you get results, how to interprete them? 'Positive' could be a 'false positive'. 'Negative' could be a 'false negative'. How does the testing work? Where are the test kits made? This Covid testing is certainly making some folk very rich:

As I said previously, it's difficult to commit to a serious discussion here. Rog And as I said previously you just have to accept that on a forum, other posters may disagree with your opinion. It is ludicrous that I can work with somebody all day but then be forbidden to visit their house after work for a cup of tea. It is ludicrous to have two lockdowns sandwiched around "eat out to help out". It is not ludicrous to suggest that Mother Nature may consider that her planet has started to become over-run with humans who are having a detrimental effect and has decided to rectify the situation. The same thing happens with every other species if they become over-prolific so why not us? That's a considered opinion I can agree or disagree with ... foxy's nonsense is simply irritating. Rog

There is no love in Agenda 21 or 30. Literally, do a search on the word. Also try faith and hope.

If everyone in the country was tested over the last 7 days and 8% of us were found to be positive, then it makes you think how many of us over the last 40 weeks or so must have avoided coming into contact with someone carrying Covid. Well, it makes you think how many of us over the last 40 weeks or so must have avoided coming into contact with someone we love. Probably 67 million of us. My mum made it to 100 BTW.
Just seen that about your mum..thats lovely..did she manage any sort of celebration?..or did Covid stop folks coming?...

Just seen that about your mum..thats lovely..did she manage any sort of celebration?..or did Covid stop folks coming?... Thanks for asking Patty. Yes, we did go to see her and present her with the Queens letter which I put in a special frame for her (you have to order all that on line these days). She lives alone in her bungalow (by choice) but does have a carer pop in every day to cook a meal and deal with anything which needs doing. She is pretty amazing really and still manages to do some cooking and washing herself. During the last lockdown we arranged to see her through the open patio doors when the carer was there. When she saw me she broke down and opened her arms. The carer pulled down her face mask and said "Come and give your mum a hug". So I did, and we embraced for many minutes amoungst the tears.

Just had my NHS covid test result 27 hours after taking the swab ... it is negative as I anticipated ... excellent service despite all the exclusively negative reports I've seen and read.

Rog You should see the morons around here, complaining that not enough centres were available and then kick of when one was provided in a local car park. Comments about having to walk past people queuing were quite funny to be honest. But they do want it both ways. Great news and Jane can work without the worry now.

We are all saved! The super vaccine is here!
And best of all, it's going to be made and distributed by Big Pharma on a "not for profit" basis.
Ok, well I made that last bit up.

Sorry for boring you @bedruthan ... just wanted to complete the story of my experience ... wasn't suggesting it was important.

I thought it was just a way to pull retail money into the stock market before hammering it back down again and picking people's pockets. Maybe I'm a cynic. Also someone who has never invested in anything profit generating so could have wrong end of stick. Pfizer were the ones who accidentally invented Viagra. Maybe they are just lucky and on the up. For all we know the scientists might have been up all night working on it.

We are all saved! The super vaccine is here! Yeah - a vaccine for something we don't even know what it is. Still, I see people are already queueing up for it, so best to buy some more shares in Pfizer - CRT licences going up again next year!
