I feel this forum is growing a bit especially with the latest shenanigans from the other side. Is there any easy way to graph the growing usage of this forum? It would be interesting to see a day by day change in usage (hopefully upward)?

It would be interesting to see a day by day change in usage (hopefully upward)? I have no idea if it's better or easier done by the forum software some how but member numbers could be plotted using the 'registered on date' thunderboat.boards.net/members?dir=asc&sort=registered_onI could knock a graph up if people wanted me too when I get five/ten minutes. As for the other stats that is probably something only Delta has the info. on

Strange to say, because of something I posted on Thunderboat, I have found a fourth cousin, and 23 pages of info about my great-great-grandfather who was a boatbuilder in Fife! It has indeed become a rolling stone, and the moss and dross has been left at Rabies-change-the-record!'s doorstep.

Not all that interesting I'm afraid. Post numbers go up and down a fair bit. We had a lotof interest at the start and then it settled out and remains fairly steady. the recent CWDF drama has given us a boost over the last few days.

Hi Delta what is the global graphic above showing & is it delineated in regions or countries i.e SE Asia as a region, or 1 (whatever) for each country of the region thats depicted as light blue?

It's not the quantity, it's the quality. I really don't see why the two forums can't get on mutually really. After all, CWF did work well for many years. The vast majority of the members are the same. It's just that there has been a change in the way it's being run. Ideally the members would have a say in it's running and who runs it. (Well actually I suppose they did to a certain extent when they voted to ban the discussion of politics and religion.) Unfortunately that decision created a rod for the moderators backs and the moderation went further than that to a point where the heart started to get sucked out of it. Either everyone accepts the way Dan wants to run it, or push for a change of management. Whether Dan is prepared to hand it over is another matter (as is finding someone who everyone is happy with - I mean would you or I want to run it?). What I have learnt from all this is that if we don't self moderate, we don't do any forum any favours. <slaps own wrist with hand>

Thanks - it is an interesting spread, I see we have yet to penetrate NZ, suprising as they are into jetboats in a bigway, I would have thought the forum name would have resonated with them - maybe the sedate pace of the canals turned them off.😊

Thanks for that D9, I suppose I was hopeful for a more continuous upward trend but anyway it's not bad at all. Certainly not a downward trend!

Well that's good. Although I'll confess to being saddened that it is in part due to CWDF being in self destruct mode.
