Roger Daltrey reopened the Roadmender in Northampton woay back in 1993, that's the closest I've come to him! We went to the Big Day out at Milton Keynes bowl in 1999, ace day headlined by Metallica, one of my all-time favourite metal bands πΈπΈπΈππππ An intimate venue that is, saw Ocean Colour Scene there a few years ago... Musical tastes collide....! I saw Ocean Colour Scene at the Royal Albert Hall we were up in the Gods!- Slightly less intimate than the 'Mender! (Which through the 90's into the early 00's was our regular Friday/Saturday night haunt, seen some top up and coming local bands there over the years) They had a little bit of Support that was Awesome - Noel Gallagher and Paul Weller; i'll have to watch that gig right through another time

Nice!
Saw OCS support Oasis at the NIA, Oasis were shocking, think he stormed off also and came back on, shit voice and no real desire to be there.
OCS was better..
I miss gigs, have tickets to see Doves in March in Brum, hopefully it goes ahead.

Just as aside, I've performed on the floor of the Albert Hall (twice) - not many people can genuinely claim that! Even got a video taken from the Gods to prove it.

Hasn't taken long for this thread to lose track.... Well to be fair, there isnβt much to say about the departure of Mr Cummings.

Hasn't taken long for this thread to lose track.... I'd Rather talk about music than read some waffle about Cummings @froggy provided the foundation for that

I love music, I walk in the house very night and say Alexa, play some music, she now knows what I like and plays my tunes.
I get on the boat and either ask Google to play music or put the radio on.
Would rather listen to music than watch tv, or talk about politics.

We saw Oasis at MK bowl in 2005, they were crap then too - Liam looked and sounded as though he'd rather be anywhere else on the planet than performing in font of 75K punters. Tosser! Sadly the sound was appalling as well, and to top it of, a dickhead I once knew kept telling us 'You should have been at Knebworth - it was epic' Thanks for that because this is shit! Best large outdoor gig we went to was Paul Weller Route of Kings at Hyde park 2002, Sunflower playing in that setting with that crowd is something I'll never forget. ETA Goosebumps!
