It's quite an interesting one isn't it.
If the blonde incompetent bloke did sack her would he get shouted down as a racist?
This is where it gets a bit awkward. At the end of the day she is just a person. Behaviour should be separated from race background. If someone is an arsehole then they need to be dealt with regardless.
On the other hand maybe she has a point and the whole thing is run by incompetent idiots..

I don't suppose we'll ever know what really goes on in her office but I would generally give the minister the benefit of the doubt when dealing with civil service jobsworths and old boys' clubbism.
I wouldn't be surprised to find that she was trying to shake up the lazy fat turds running the show and they see her as a small irritating asian woman who has no place in their little world.
IMHO there should be no such thing as a career civil servant - at all levels they should be required to have experience of the private sector before they take up a position and then serve a fixed term in the civil service before returning to the real world.

Yes, she should be sacked, not because of allegations of bullying, but because she's not fit for purpose generally.

No she should have been sacked. (she should have resigned a while ago) Not sacked. Having read that ‘Yes minister’ was a fairly accurate depiction of how civil servants treat ministers, and getting civil servants to do something they don’t like is at best extremely difficult, so I suspect a bit of verbal kicking is required to get anything done. Being an Asian Woman versus the civil servants just makes it almost impossible. Closed, upper class ranks. No need to mention the chip on my shoulder, I am a very balanced person with a chip on both shoulders.

It's going to be very awkward to get the Sunak bloke out when he starts on the road to world domination.
Because be is a darkie. No way can you have a go at people like that. Even if they are contemptible swine.

What - you mean stealing stuff? You said it yourself! "When I worked for John Laing the company introduced a rule that machine operators were responsible for basic maintenance of their kit - bulldozers, cranes, etc. From the outset the drivers were issued with 2 sets of tools and warned that asking for replacements for lost tools would not be tolerated. There were some very well equipped home garages as a result." "Which sounds like condoning theft to me."

don't often agree with you, but I think there is a lot in that I suspect that there are a lot of tools in Badger's garage that he didn't pay for himself.

How about you, you angelic troll?

"Priti Patel:
Does her bullshit and do her false promises never end? The latest one being that a ‘furious’ Patel is thinking about calling in the Royal Navy to halt the tide of illegal immigrants arriving as the Covid crisis still rages.
Now, any fool knows that is exactly what Her Majesty’s Navy should be doing. Protecting Britain and its people from both the savage and the invader. But there’s the rub. Patel is only ‘thinking’ about it and that is all she will do, because that is all she ever does and all she ever will do.
Good at acting tough and gobbing off, but the truth is she is useless, just like the rest of them. Patel is all talk and no action."
"Patel’s parents bought their way into Britain and as the daughter of Ugandan Indian immigrants she now delights in putting the boot into – immigrants! Patel called British workers “among the worst idlers”, quite ironic given that she has never had a proper job in her life and has been gifted a position in politics because of her ethnicity and the fact Boris Johnson will be enjoying a lot of “business trips” with her! A huge fan of the death sentence, because she knows if it ever did get into law it will be the poor feeling the rope whilst the rich and privileged buy their freedom. And porky Patel appears to have been overdoing the free food allowance (currently £100 a week on top of wages, expenses and benefits)"

There's little to pinch from a bus garage. Apart from a bus - and our garage at home is too small for one of those

I'm not condoning bullying in the work place of any kind ... however, as a generation X'er, FIRM managers/bosses were the norm when I set out - namby pampyism just doesn't always get the job done/changes made.
I suspect it's more a case of sour grapes "within" and as has been suggested, posh knobs not liking being told what to do or how to do it a) by a woman and b) a coloured one to boot.
Racism remains every where... I'm guilty of it sometimes but try my best to balance things out - by being rude/derogatory about gingers tends to cover that base.
Any bloke who can't take a bollocking from / control by a woman needs to grow a pair and get on with the job rather than sniveling to "personnel".
