There's little to pinch from a bus garage. Apart from a bus - and our garage at home is too small for one of those what a defeatist attitude - use your imagination and get pilfering, why don't you. I'm simply not as dishonest as you. I am afraid you have painted yourself into a corner.

I only used the term "coloured" as I can't remember what specific 'flavor' her ancestry created...because it doesn't matter to me whether she's sky blue pink with purple dots - it's cause she looks "different" to the old boys club they are sniveling into their brandy about it... I’ve never worked out why “coloured” is bad and “people of colour” is good. Seems a bit fatuous and frivolous to me! Although I suppose it could be said that black isn’t a colour. Well that’s what my art teacher said, anyway. Black and white tv vs colour tv etc etc. I think we should just stick with black, white, and brown for anyone who’s skin isn’t either. yeah but ............... any anglo-saxon with white skin must be albino and any afro-caribbean with black skin must come from darkest Sudan - everybody else is coloured.
perhaps we should use the words pale, medium and dark for non-Sudanese or non-albino, depending on the tone.
the whole thing's a nonsense. AFAIK the only reason coloured is considered unacceptable is that it was used as a term by apartheid Sud Afrika.
as an aside, when I worked in Nigeria nasty little schoolboys on their way home from school took delight in shouting AYEBO !! at any European they met. Ayebo means 'skinless one'. ............... and then they had the cheek to look sorry, pat their bellies and say "Ayebo, give me money".

I heard you nick whole trees from round the back of the garage. As befits a master crim on this forum, they've not caught you cos you were wise enough to burn the evidence.

I was hoping to start on the other thread where some bovine word play has been taking place but got the wrong thread.

And am enhancing the value of the land by creating a nice, tidy forest. is a forest a forest if some git has chopped down the trees.

Well looks like Boris has starved TfL of bail out funds enough that his project of Crossrail will be 'mothballed' - at least until London elect a Tory Mayor...............

That's annoying I was really looking forward to a rail line running out of inner east London straight to the lovely Thames valley area around Maidenhead. I bet all those people who bought property on that one will be shaking in their boots. Shiver me timbers !

I was an accidental Civil Servant having been TUPE'd in from another agency. The process is everything, product is an accident. I used to sit in meetings thinking 'Will someone make a f*cking decision' - only to find that the decision made was to reconvene in a weeks time to talk more. I instinctively don't like Priti Patel, but could possibly find a minsicule amount of sympathy for any similar frustrations she might have had.

I was listening to the radio the other day and someone pointed out, as I alluded to in the OP, that "the country is being run by incompetent idiots."
It's sad if it's true but it may very well be true.
