I sure wouldn't, mind you had the question been Clinton instead of Trump my answer would be the same.
I have a few friends who live in the States, and they all pretty much agree they are doomed regardless of which of them win, they say their only hope is if an independent were somehow to win. But, the likelihood of that happening is just wishful/desperate thinking

Its very concerning that people such as Clinton and Trump have achieved so much..it doesn't say much for those that support them. USA is kinda weird..if a guy like Trump had been in any other position what would have happened ref the language/actions towards women? Would there have been action taken against him?..Its all very confusing.

Considering the megalomaniacal fossils that have been premiers of various countries during my lifetime, neither of those two are quite as bad as some.

Hopefully, just hopefully it is just like 'Yes minister' where the politians are just puppets dancing to the strings pulled by the bureaucats. So no matter how outrageous their election claims are, once elected they are firmly controlled by the back room boys (and girls), and for better or worse nothing changes except the lead puppet.

Normally I'd agree, but Trump seems to be doing his own thing now. He's attacking his own side and at the moment getting away with it. If he does get away with it, it's nothing short of stealth dictatorship. Pretty much like the control Putin has. The more pointy the top of the pyramid of control gets, the more volitile we become IMO.

I think the point about the US is the structure of its government. I think you will find that the President has some power but on the whole it can be overridden by the senate & house of representatives. I suspect if it came to a vote in those chambers Trump will be voted down. That is the reason why Obama has not managed to do anything in his second term, the chambers swung to the Republicans and they just keep blocking effectively. So to me I see little change overall if Trump gets in.
What does worry me is Clinton with a Democrat control of the two chambers. With the possible swing away from the Republicans because of the Trump fiasco.

It was the right wing and neo-cons here that brought us the complete destabilization of the Middle East, austerity budgets and tax policies that allow the oligarchy to grow their assets tremendously at the expense of the rest of the world. With Trump as president and a republican House and Senate, it would be like George W. Bush on steroids. The legislature would give Trump anything he wanted because Trump would give the legislators anything they wanted. A Trump presidency would be a disaster for the US, and for the entire world.

And Hillary Clinton will be a better president because? What would be the effect of Clinton as president? More than likely, a rapid push for an immediate "no fly zone" in Syria, resulting in the shooting down of Russian planes, which had been asked to help put down an uprising against the democratically elected leader of the country, by Nato/eu/us planes, not there by request , or 'moderate' rebels who have been issued man portable anti aircraft missiles, thus leading, slowly but surely, to WW111. From what I have read, Trump, despite the MSM rhetoric, has said he will talk with the middle eastern leaders about the sitution, hopefully leading to a 'proper' cease fire initiative.

Well of course he will. Hence the narrow pointy bit at the top of the control pyramid I mention. Would they listen to a woman?
