We're due back onboard in January ready for new travels.
However, our house is in a tier three area and so is the boat (at Warwick).
I take it that live aboards in tier three areas are advised not to travel, other than for the usual essential reasons ?
I'm wondering if we should stay at the house rather than go to the boat and not be able to travel ... trying to work out what's best for us.

Will all be in tier three in the coming weeks anyway.
Me, I would get on my boat, stock it up and bugger off to a quite spot and sit it out.

I have to admit I would be on the boat and travelling from Tap to Tap in accordance with CRT 2 weeks rule for ccrs. Yesterday, our journey was in search of pump out (if stopped)... I really don't think anyone (except perhaps the welsh) give a flying fart if a boat is moving... yesterday, folks were visibly lifted by seeing us = well, the boat rather than me you understand

I personally wouldn't go cruising at the moment. For me moving the boat is only a small part of boating, it's just as much about visiting pubs, museums, steam railways etc and until these fully re-open it all seems a bit pointless. We just have to hope the mass hysteria and collective mental illness coronavirus is over in 2021.

There's also walking in the countryside, footpaths and bridleways everywhere, and cycling along narrow lanes and enjoying the scenery.

listening to the news, isn't that Welsh bloke now saying only 2 households can meet and full lock down again on 28th? - I hope he and Nicola Sturgeon never breed... their child would surely end up with little black moustache and jack boots!

Two households sounds better than three. Some people are interpreting it as three households at a time, not three households in total over the period. Just shows how fekin thick the English are😷 Personally I think we should be in lockdown and stay like that until next year.

Well, they certainly are think if they allow the Government to dictate who that can and can't have in their own home. Having said that, most people aren't taking a blind bit of notice of it.

We are having three houses over for xmas dinner, all from our family.
Thing is if they say you can then people will do it, if they say you cant, some people will not and then continue to tell everyone how you shouldn't, but it makes no difference to covid what the govt says, it will still spread.
So crack on and enjoy your holiday!
Logical.

It seems highly likely that a four week national 'lock-down ' may be introduced in early January. A bit like Mr Stabby suggests ... if everything's going to be closed down and we're going to be as welcome as a fart in a space suit, I'm thinking we may as well delay returning to the boat until some firm news is available. As the weather's manky, I've just driven upto North Yorkshire to deliver presents to my brother's house ... didn't go in. I did stop to use loos and buy food at a service station ... it was open and looked like the world I remember (apart from masks and sanitizer). I hope we're allowed to be responsible for our own risks by February or March. Rog

It seems highly likely that a four week national 'lock-down ' may be introduced in early January. What needs to be locked down are the corrupt politicians handing out contracts to their mates. £252m to Ayanda Capital, registered in Mauritius for tax purposes. PPE not delivered £186m to Uniserve. PPE not delivered £116m to P14 Medical Supplies, with assets of just £145. PPE not delivered £108m to PestFix, with just 16 employees. PPE not delivered £107m to Clandeboye Agencies, a sweet wholesaler. Yes, a sweet wholesaler. PPE not delivered. £40m to Medicine Box Ltd, with assets of just £6000. PPE not delivered. £48m to Initia Ventures Ltd, which registered itself as “dormant” in March. PPE not delivered. £28m to Monarch Acoustics, which makes shop furniture. PPE not delivered £25m to Luxe Lifestyle, which has no employees, no assets, and no turnover. PPE not delivered £18m to Aventis Solutions, which has total assets of £332. Not a typo, £332. PPE not delivered £10m to Medco Solutions, incorporated just 3 days after lockdown, with share capital of (not a typo) £2. PPE not delivered In all, approx £1bn to inexplicable suppliers for PPE that hasn’t been delivered.
