Whoopee, how green and virtuous am I, just got an email with my voucher, been chasing it for about 3 months. We are going for airsource heat pump, running the heating and hot water, getting rid of the gas meter completely. We'll still have the woodstove for emergencies. Swmbo's attendance allowance gets us a 10k grant, we have to put up Β£500. If you have bricks and mortar it's well worth going for the 5k, it would be enough for a solar system.

On the face of it, a good deal.
BUT you will probably have to change every radiator in the house as they will run at a lower temperature. Do look at the maintenance costs too, they will be expensive. How big a heat pump? 14Kw is the popular size, thats' 14Kw of electricity per hour, which will be your only energy source, you are tied into a monopoly.

Grid electric is a lovely way to control behaviour.
Cars, heating, other domestic, boat propulsion, beer production, intergalactic flight.
It's amazing how much you can do with elastic trickery, one of the early ways humans found of enslaving others.
The great thing is you can just switch it off and vast swathes of people can't do anything.
Excellent.

Clusters in East Devon included Honiton North & East, (21) and Exmouth Brixignton (20). Rates of infection in both areas were above 300 per 100,000 of population. 1 in 333 then and for an illness which for 99% of those infected is no worse than moderate flu. Yes, let's trash the economy over that. Let's see mass unemployment and home repossessions in the hundreds of thousands. Let's see untold numbers of deaths from undiagnosed cancers, suicide etc. Let's see elderly people die alone, without families to ease their passing. You know it makes sense. Citizens, do not venture outdoors without wearing your muzzle!

All these handouts are great on the face of things. whether that be people's wages, the food bills of parents, people's heat pumps or a multitude of other handouts. Who is going to pay for these things, or is the intention not to pay for them?

Who is going to pay for these things, or is the intention not to pay for them? You, I, and many others pay for them. I donβt really begrudge those that apply for, and accept them. Does piss me off that Jim takes every given opportunity to slag off the government, but then accepts their handouts. Such hypocrisy from someone who tends to suggest he has principles. Typical labourite with no morals.

The thing is: When someone has to pay, which will surely come about one day, will those who have received begrudge paying some of it back themselves, or do they expect that someone else should always be the person who pays?

Typical labourite with no morals. The thing is: When someone has to pay, which will surely come about one day... Haven't you heard of the great reset? Soon we will "own nothing and be happy". So no, we might not have to pay for them in monetory terms, but we will all have to spend more of our time making the new economy work. That means we will have to fit in with whatever we are told to do....or else. Forget your pension too. When you think about it, we don't really 'own' anything in the first place, money is just a human made concept which facilitates control. If they wanted to build HS2 through your house, there was bugger all you could have done about it, even if you owned it. What will be interesting is whether we will go down an Orwellian (Big Brother) or Roddenberry (Star Trek) route. Will those running the show let us have a holiday on their multi million dollar yaughts each year? ....sorry, I digress....again....
