back to the op (and away from gingerism), another thing that quite often gets shouted at me is "Your boat is very quiet - is it electric?"...
The irony of that is that whilst the hospital silence thingy DOES a good job 'their side' - it's not so effective for us standing on an inch thing (insulated buafflo board) on top of the engine ... ergo, I quite often have to ask them to repeat what they said!

Yes or no to what? the thread title isn't a question. I might give a nod of acknowledgement but wouldn't be overly demonstrative. What do you want, a hug?

I've voted yes; I hate to see unevenness.

I had an Isuzu with a very big hospital silencer - I was running my engine for a couple of minutes while the boat was out of the water and I really couldn't hear the engine running while standing on the ground near the exhaust outlet and had to feel the warm exhaust gas to persuade me it was running, whilst on the boat cruiser stern it was the usual noisy clatter-rattle.

well even without knowing what the non-existent question is I will vote NO just to try to regain a sense of balance.
I'm surprised no-one has said "Fuck Off"

Always say yes ... if you always do what you've always done,
you'll always get what you always got.

I cannot possibly say yes or no to whatever the question is until I have spent time pondering with vino.... To-days choice is ginger wine which I always used to like but now dunno why.....

I mad a risotto for tea yesterday. I don't drink wine, and SWMBO & Son drink red. I asked her for some white wine for the rice and she dug out a half bottle of 2006 Sauterne that had been clogging up the cupboard for year - came as a freeby from a wine merchant AFAIK. I used half of it and left it on the table. Son tried a bit and then waxed lyrical saying it was the nicest thing he had ever tasted, and berated me for using it as a cooking wine. SWMBO tried it and agreed. For me it tasted a bit like brandy mixed with sherry. MMMMM ................ !!!!

My old friend in Scotland keeps cheap white wine for years and I go up there and he'll open a bottle of fairly undrinkable plonk.... He doesn't seem to be aware of how awful it is....

"you're on the wrong side!" Try it, loads of confusion ensues. Sometimes I get asked "are you single handed" so I show them both hands. It's amazing how many people seem to be confused by only one hand being used on the tiller.

I won't ask what you were doing with the other one .......................... assuming you only need to use one hand, that is.
