All whisky is disgusting. I don't know how anyone can drink it. All a matter of taste ... as the hair colourist said to the stylist. Rog

To be frank, my favourite alcoholic drink is the one in my hand at any time ... I know ... what a shallow chap I am.
Since the pubs closed I've been buying Adnams Ghost Ship, an alcohol free beer which tastes pretty good and means I can have a 'beer' without the alcohol ... works for me.
Trying to reduce my drinking quite a lot, but I have no wish to stop.

I cant abide whiskey either makes me sick, I got drunk on it when I was young and even the smell does for me. Southern comfort always makes me think of a very special night I had with the gorgeous Fiona White, its strange how certain drinks bring back both good and bad memories?

Pernod did for me. Involved a very pretty Austrian girls boot and a sophisticated American ladies fur coat. Loved Pernod until that night.

This seems a good moment to add to this thread. I see that almost half of eighty plus year olds are now breaking lockdown rules. They are out partying and getting up to all sorts. Itβs a disgrace.

I'm not 85 so I'm still in lockdown, glaring balefully out of my windows at anyone who looks as if they might be havng fun
Of course in a few weeks time I will get my second jab and then it will be ........ YeeeeHaaaa
My cousin has been out riding one of his bikes a couple of times and is getting the AJS out of it's winter mothballs for a run asap ......
It is totally understandable, his days out on the bike can be counted in "days" each one is precious (he's 90)

Ive noticed the 'older vaccinated' folks have ditched masks and gossip in groups on the pavement...the cynic in me wonders if its a case of I'm ok now stuff the rest of u... as I'm not vaccinated I cannot indulge in this feckless irresponsible behaviour..so I now have to avoid even more people.....

Well itβs good to know that the elderly are as selfish/reckless as the younger generation. Thank goodness we are the same deep down.

Once the lockdown is lifted I imagine his days out on the bike will be even more numbered. I wonder if anyone will be talking about the spike in deaths of geriatric motorcyclists caused by increased traffic volumes.

My youngest son said the same..he told me that my age group acting like idiots, but hastened to add I didn't act in the same way This pm went out with Freya....it was heaving everywhere so I chucked a few sticks in an empty field and we came home... I felt very unsafe
