He he he, I like that, tight nadgy bends, our favourite river is the Wissey which does have some tight bends, one on top of another I'm places. Don't be afraid to use your horn as the GRPs get in a bit of a tizz when they see a NB coming (seen a few trying to climb the bank) at least if they hear you they are prepared. Phil

I'll keep quite about the GRP V sewer tube bit That said, the biggest argument I've had in recent times was a selfish miserable old git on a seamaster 28 at 5 miles from anywhere. Phil's advice is good though, normally it's quite enough to not be an issue, I'll give you a small tip though, ocean 30's are cheap enough to be owned by bellends and are the boat to watch out for!

I reckon I know the boat you mean, he used to moor at our marina and was known as Mr Angry. He left under a cloud, did a runner owing mooring fees, leccy etc. Hilarious watching him sitting on the bows with a oar, paddling for all he was worth out of the marina because his engine was U/S Have had the misfortune to have bumped into him from time to time but being able to ignore people is part of my skill set Phil

This one gave up behind the brewery before they got to this little lot the inacessable mooring with the chance of a free spray job.

Thanks for the listing Gazza - I've saved it in my "boaty mooring folder" for when we eventually get there.

Thanks for the listing Gazza - I've saved it in my "boaty mooring folder" for when we eventually get there. No problem 🚢⚓👍 I'm not on commission but.... If you do make it down here Friends Of The River Nene is well worth joining - £10 for access to some of the best moorings on the river - should you get as far as The Great Ouse GOBA is also money well spent, even for one out and back trip.

Updated the list to include the EA mooring at the Dog In The Doublet, how I forgot that I don't know. The pub of the same name has a reasonable reputation for food - it's a good while since I've been there though - we usually hang a right and sneak off across the Middle Levels.

gazza, you seem to know the Nene and the Middle Levels very well, I was wondering if you'd ever seen this boat that was built by a Dutch guy, him and his girlfriend (wife-partner ?) were there for a while before I bumped (not literally) into them during a boat meeting at Trent-lock in 2007. Their boat was a well built copy of a Dutch Dekschuit that the guy build several years before somewhere on the K&A if I remember rightly. He had a cleverly made hydraulicly lowered wheelhouse, I haven't seen them since that day anywhere else during my visits to the UK. Peter.
