That reminds me of this... A man approaches an athlete carrying a tubular length of wood at the Olympics and says "Are you a pole vaulter?" "No" replies the man. "I'm a German, but how did you know my name was Walter?" That reminds me ... ... why WERE we all so concerned when you went missing? You can miss the drip, drip, drip from a leaking roof ... doesn't mean you want to keep it Rog

I was like "what happened to the MDF shed" Then I remembered that was someone else. How is the pallet shed standing up to the abuse of an English winter Mr Stabby?

I was like "what happened to the MDF shed" Then I remembered that was someone else. How is the pallet shed standing up to the abuse of an English winter Mr Stabby ? Perfect. Pallet wood is designed to have a tonne or more of product stacked on it and then be transported half-way across the world on ferocious oceans. Just sitting there in Warwickshire with a moped in it doesn't even begin to test its design limits. Additionally it was all painted with two coats of wood preservative before it was even assembled, and then another two or three coats afterwards to further protect the weather-facing surfaces. It's held together largely with decking screws which are specifically intended for exterior use, and covered with roofing shingles with a broad overlap to deflect the rain. It all sits on a brick base to avoid ground contact and attendant dampness issues. Everyone on the mooring thinks it's wonderful, and it is by far the best-looking owner-built structure on the farm if I do say so myself.

One of those old solid brass ones would go nicely in there.
Real one not a laquered POS.

No, but I will do if I ever find a suitable cardboard box to place below it. Perhaps you might be able to assist with advice on installation?

Your experienced hand at colouring stuff no doubt played its part Mr Stabby ... years of practice Rog

I do miss the away days at football though, stopping in random pubs in the middle of nowhere for a few beers before the match. How many pints can you down in an hour! Bang on there. I love away days. Fortunately for us we aren't known for trouble and like you say, visiting all the local pubs and joining in withe the banter is great fun.

Remember going away to Man utd a few years ago, stopped the coach at Altringham and piled into a pub, full of man utd fans....
Kept our coats zipped up to hide the Liverpool tops whilst supping pints..
Happy days.

Back to the OP for a moment - I've always had a thing for Freddie Flintoft and not just cause he's ginger... cause he's a bit stupid and likeable really. I watched a program he did on bulimia a few weeks back - where he admitted to being troubled by it for years.
Awful as it is (condition wise) , he looks much better for it these days - ... I'm amnesiac bulimic ... I eat but forget what comes next - hence the girth.

Were these heat treated pallets or did you manage to get some of the rare and classic Methyl Bromide ones ? At one stage the latter were seen as an attractive option for making incredibly cool beds in very expensive loft conversion flats. They keep the bugs away apparently.
